  2. Indeed, we will have to get our heads together!
  3. im good mate, looking forward to xmas? The front end is as new now, shame about the rest of the car! What dv do you have fitted at the mo, just bought a bailey type thing. If it is too lairy itll go again!
  4. Materialise? Where were you going to be working, the tardis?
  5. Perhaps it isnt on HD next week? Your mate must have applied for them years ago, is he taking a girl as I heard they operate on a 1:1 fluff ratio? Hows it going by the way, whats this job change that might see you sell the bug? First dibs on the braking system!
  6. Is that on BBC HD channel, if so Ill have to Sky + it on that instead.
  7. And just for the artistic talents, here we have your winner. Great pic!
  8. Just ordered Colin McRae Dirt for a fiver on the Xbox 360. Bargain!!
  9. Ha ha, you need to think twice before talking about breaking things mate. There is no quicker stopping car than Matts in Oxon, Ive had first hand experience, then had to push my eyeballs back in.
  10. They offered me the type r front end, then realised I wasnt with Pikey Insurance so went with the bug, which is the best looking, by the way.
  11. Top news, car has been given the ok to be repaired. 2-3 weeks at most and Ill be back on t'road. With a shiney front end may I add.
  12. I was going to say, a cheap way to get the Type R on the road again is to weld a pushbike into the floor, the car is quite light. Youll be back on the track again in no time. Also you should be able to equal that 13.1!!! Thatll do, wont it Matt? Are you keeping it, by the way?
  13. He admitted it, his insurance admitted their clients liability, and its in the shop now. Just waiting for the ok from Admiral, to go ahead with the work!
  14. Matt, I was driving through camp, some guy in a Ford Ranger (the Hummers harder brother) goes over the speed hump and stops, so I decided to keep my distance and stopped before said hump. He saw some git in a van (Sorry, Iain!) and reversed back to talk. Before I had a chance to evade the move, he was on me, slowly, but enough to fold the bonnet in half, push back both headlights, bend the slam panel, crack the grill, and as the bodyshop found, damaged the wings and bumper as well. He phoned me tonight and told me he had told Admiral it was about £3200 worth of damage. I was concerned that they would write it off, but he said that if it is work for a third party, they cover up to nearly the total value of the vehicle, not 50% like if it was my fault. There ya go, my tale of woe.
  15. I hope you get the price you want, and get a real ripper as a replacement. Take it easy.......
  16. Hey guys, the car went to the assessor today, Iain you were nearly dead on when you said 3k, it was estimated at £3200! The guy thinks it wont be written off, so good news! Wait for the Admiral to ok it though!
  17. Mine was just a little prang, amazing how the front end folds up, but no kids in car, no-one hurt, so the best circumstances really. As for you, it must be a bloody nightmare, against a NA Supra as well, nightmare. What are your plans? Back to Nissan?
  18. Oh s****, gutted for you mate, my WRX has been bumped in the front, Iain might have mentioned it.
  19. C'est la vie........... the front end will end up looking better than it does now, as long as they do it well. The company are Doug Drewitt and Sons, Headington, heard of them?
  20. Many questions here, how much will all the parts cost, do you think? And will it be a complete front end respray? And, shhhhh, do you think I can wangle all the other marks on the car touched up within the price!? Not funny, but I had to smile..........just one of those things and Dan sorted it out v. quickly so more power to him.
  21. Doesn't matter anyway bud, I wont start a new thread for this, isn't worth it. In full view of Iain, his mate reversed his Hummer (well it looked like one!) right into the front of mine. Looks pretty flucked. Iain will probable be able to put a rough price on the cost of repair, new bonnet, slam panel, headlights(one is smashed inside), radiator and spraying! No trip to Japshow for me! Still, to the lads credit, he held his hands up to his insurance and four hours or so later, I have a hire car arranged FOC and a garage is picking it up on Monday! Still got to the gym after though.....thats all that matters!
  22. Anyone from the Oxon area going up on the Sunday? I know most are camping, but Im less likely to get lost en route with others in front of me!
  23. Do the discs and pads yourself, save yourself a few squid.
  24. Sounds like a bonzer day, cant wait for the video!
  25. Aaaaah yes, 30 years old, Silver Jubilee, three day working week, I remember a woman, lovely girl down Belliver way, had a wee son called........I think it was Matthew, he had a big old head!
