About mike_pinder

  1. Don't know the guy but still shocking. Get well soon mate. Best wishes to the family
  2. I can only echo what others have said. As far as i am concerned Subaru have treated their customers in an appalling way. The lack of good solid pro-active steps was the approach needed once failure started to take a grip. I am another one who has Subaru in my blood. I doubt i could ever trust the brand again though Quite surprised really that they are still trading (all things considered).
  3. Well the website is up. Was it worth the wait........not really. Let's hope there is a lot more to come.
  4. It is a bit on the p$*£. Noticed that on Sunday as i was chatting to Tony. Didn't have the heart to say anything. Nice car though Tony.
  5. It's turning into another Subaru marketing disaster. This is exactly what they did with the CS400. They really should learn to keep things under wraps until they are ready to go.
  6. Mark Which area of Derbyshire are you based and have you got any thoughts on where the meets may be? Mike
  7. Great looking car Tony. Silver strip on the boot has to go but other than that, spot on. Happy days !!!
  8. It was a good day (but i am suffering now). Good to chat with fellow Hatch owners. Sorry i missed you Phil i did visit your car a couple of times but you must have been sunbathing on one of the other stands. Roll on NBO 10 Mick
  9. Fitted the Godspeed grooved discs on mine with Mintex pads. Smiles better. Service was good to.
  10. Shocking Tony but not that surprising given everything that goes on with Subaru these days
  11. The truth is Subaru are not interested or cannot sort out this three year old problem. They have been content to sit back and keep pumping out replacement engines. There is no way they would take this commercial decision if there was a more straight forward and cheaper fix. Warranties are now expiring and they will walk away and no doubt breath a huge sigh of relief. As for the PPP cars suffering less failures. I am not sure where that info has come from but i suspect pro-rata the facts will show they actually have a higher failure rate. The engine is under engineered and does not meet its advertising claims or prove to be durable. Subaru not so long ago issued a technical statement, diverting the blame for failure onto customers who had modified there cars, bought imports etc. It will be very interesting to see what advice is given if we say buy a Pro-R exhaust, air filter or similar. Will this automatically involve a re-map ? Can the cars now suddenly cope with modification Anyway none of this is down to Pro-R, so the very best of luck with your new venture. Once again sorry to drift off topic.
  12. Darren / Stu Are you saying you have no knowledge of 330S engine failures. Do you not think that if the issues with engine failure were as simple as mapping problems, then Subaru would have put this to bed in 2008. Engines continue to fail despite the Subaru instructed re-flash and in some cases multiple engine fitments. Very recent cars seem to be holding up better and i certainly don't believe for one second that this is down to the luck of the draw. Sorry to go off topic but feelings still run high with many customers who have spent circa £30,000 to be left sitting in what would appear to be ticking bombs. Apologies again Pro-R. I really hope you can pull Subaru's reputation back to something like it was 10 years ago.
  13. Panel filter will be O.K with PPP map. The Typhoon however will involve mapping to be safe.
  14. I see the latest Impreza has a power upgrade. The 320R now on sale. http://subaru.co.uk/new_320r?utm_source=offers/unlike-most-performance-cars-subaru-doesnt-do-compromise-whatever-the-conditions-&utm_campaign=320R%20Offer%20Page&utm_medium=Web%20Redirect Hope the map and pistons on this one are "fit for purpose". Still staggers me that Subaru have plodded on with simply slotting in new engines (as and when they blow up). Putting effort into resolving (by design) the issues with the mapping / pistons on the 08> cars, would have been the right approach . All those loyal Subaru customers gone for ever. What a monumental own goal ehhh
