  1. Wasn't implying both have same suspension, just that they haven't been altered with aftermarket stuff by us. Yet! The RB is much softer than my STi.
  2. Assys or GDS3, which did you get?
  3. I'm going , weather to be good I hear! Not sure if it'll be the Scoob though as my son doesn't like it! Had to get pre booked tickets today as they know how to charge! Are you going Jon?
  4. Strange how things happen. I have F1 asys on mine and like them, good all round I'd say. Last night I was asked by a fellow member to compare handling, 05STi vs RB320. Very different characteristics, only comparing on two linked roundabouts. The RB feels very loose, understeer coming at 40mph, enough to make you lift, then snap oversteer. The STi on the other hand began very slight understeer at near to 50mph and to get oversteer you had to aggresively lift off and provoke the rear. STi on F1s, RB on Falkens. It was dry. At the moment I'm not saying this is down just to tyres, however as far as we know, both cars have the standard suspension from the factory, neither has any apparent faults with suspension. To further confirm this, next week the STi wheels are going onto the RB and we'll get a better idea! Watch this space.....
  5. What is more satisfying than a roll and fried egg, hp sauce - bite in and let the yolk go everywhere! Heaven!
  6. IE 6 I think, don't laugh, works computer. Other pages were ok, only when I went to your Identify page mate.
  7. Nathan, you're site is great mate. I'm having problems viewing the identify your model section, the info you need is covered by the info all down the left side of the page?
  8. In 2007, when I was a finalist for Vauxhall in their driver of the year competition, they put me on it. I never used it though and can't remember the log in details. Not much help am I?
  9. The 'I'm doing 70mph and I'm just gonna sit in the outside lane till I drive into the English Channel' brigade. Absolutely bursts me. If they would just pull in for two seconds I'd be gone, it doesn't matter that they have a gap they could pull into for 30 seconds, they just sit there plodding along, the highway code clearly states, return to the left after overtaking. Probably the most common complaint that, and one which is currently being looked at in the media too, but it does create awful stress. Most satisfying is when Mr Green in his Prius does it, I always pass them in the end and give him a good dose of flames, just to waste his day. Or month!! Childish but satisfying! Good morning.
  10. Route 2 is fine, Ice cream and chips, even finer! A supermarket car park, come on tae fu**!!!
  11. 1. Vettel 2. Raikonnen (sp?) 3. Hamilton
  12. Well having tried them back to back there was no difference on a single stop, however repeated use is a different story.
  13. Indicators ok so long as flash orange. Your brakes will be fine, they'll still show the correct performance even when cold, it's just you need to push harder!!
  14. Standard then? Is it a PD or CR, think PD at that age maybe? Wheelspin will be a bit of an issue I'd imagine, the Skoda is 170bhp and likes to light up the tyres! Is it manual? That final facelift model of the Avant just looks great. Enjoy.
  15. Watching the BTCC in bed earlier (ill today), who caught Colin's post race interview, the one from the last race? Louise interviewed him behind the paddock and in less than 2 minutes he said 'you know' 23 times! Twenty fcukin three times!!! I was PMSL, love the Irish accent but come on!!!
  16. Looks top car. Audi make the best models in my opinion. Just can't beat them. Looked at the A4 avant for my work but couldn't finance it sensibly so ended up with an Octavia estate. 2.0TDI if you're claiming 50mpg? Is it a quattro? Power? Come on, tell all. The wheels are superb, I'd love a late RS4 Avant in Nogaro Blue, what more could anyone want?
  17. You out practisin Andy? Naughty boy!
  18. About 15 years ago, my mate and I used to play online racing or rallying, his daughter was very close to her dad and used to watch him a lot. Ocassionally we would take the pc to each others homes and link up for a days racin, inevitably when the race was lost some underhand tactics would follow and his daughter called me badbaz and it stuck!! Thing is I despise being called Baz, but the tag stuck and I use it for every forum and even my email. Sad but true!
  19. I had a Vauxhall Viva. Finished laughing? Long story, two cars into one, shell never been on road (mechanic training vehicle) and donor vehicle. In the end it was a two door saloon, with the Firenza(anyone know what I mean) Droopsnoot fitted on and in white. Ran it for about a year then ditched the 1256cc sewing machine and fired in a 2300cc VX engine one weekend. Holy crap, that transformed things!!! Never kept it after that as moved into a more modern XR3i. Viva reg was TGA102R, no one ever forgets their first car no matter how sh!t it was.
  20. Fantastic achievment by all involved, especially the main team. This picture made us feel very emotional, must have been so hard for Jimmy to do this, it's not even two years on.
  21. After talking to you last night about your intentions, I know the guy personally who designed mine. They may look standard on mine but they were made to my spec and printed/cut as a one off. If you send me some info on what you're looking for, I could get him to do actual drawings which would show you exactly what your motor would look like, sides, front/rear even the roof. PM me if you're interested. Barry
  22. I have made a choice, I'm staying with Orange for the sake of the tariffs which suit my needs. I found what I hope is a compromise, an almost iphoneish phone for much less wonga and no watching the useage to avoid horrendous bills. I had to pay £90 to get this handset and for £39 per month I'm getting 1200mins, retaining my magic numbers, unlimited texts, orange maps and 500mb anytime internet. Every six months, best plan should give me the chance to drop a tariff/£5 per month and I can live with that. I'm almost afraid to say what model it is cause I know the first reply will start with "Oh for f*cks sake, what did you choose that one for, etc, etc, etc" it's too late anyway now, the deed is done. The phone is Samsungs I8910 HD. Cue the slagging . . . . . I have read reviews and think it'll serve my needs, it's no iphone but it seems to be a good alternative. It has HTML web browsing(if I'm say the right thing) which will allow me the internet access I require in a month. Just how much is 500MB worth of internet pages though? The robbing gits wanted £300 for it despite being a loyal customer for 2 years, when I bumped my gums they dropped it to £90 which for the convenience of not having to start afresh I was happy to pay. No iphone now, maybe in a couple of years!!
  23. Currently the N97 isn't available from Orange directly but is available through other places on Orange tariffs. Tonight I dropped into The Fort on the way to the Glasgow Meet and popped into O2. And the carphone warehouse. And Vodafone. And Orange. Every phone shop except T mobile and 3! O2 - no iphones available on Pay & Go, rarely are he said. TCW - only 32gb iphones available here and they are defo out of reach Vodafone - N97, £40 per month, unlimited texts but insufficient mins and there is internet access - phone is free on this tariff - bills could spiral though Orange - to avoid large bills, orange's unlimited texts and magic numbers keeps my bills low, everything I need is free within the monthly charge I pay. Orange is where I fear I need to stay, the iphone just isn't gonna happen for me. I must ensure I get the best handset I can, one which will hopefully get me access to the net if I really need it and a phone which I'm happy with and will last 24 months. Which one though?? I'm off to have a quick look at 3rd party phone providers to see the Orange tariffs for the N97
