  1. 0) "Repair" your network connection. In XP, right click on the network icon near the clock and select Repair. This will flush the DNS and ARP Cache, disable and renable the adapter and release/renew your IP address. DID THIS - NO CHANGE 1) Check your IP address (if it starts with 127.0...... or 169......) check the cable linking your PC to your router as your PC won't be picking up and IP address IP ADDRESS IS 192.168.0.10 2) If your IP address is ok (ie DHCP is on and you have 192.168...... or 10....... as your address) can you ping the router? PINGED AND IT SAID SENT 4 RECEIVED 4 LOST 0 TIME 0MS 3) Router config. Is it setup to be DHCP from your ISP, if so, what DNS servers has is got? Can you ping them? NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS BIT PLEASE!! 4) Check your HOSTS file. There should be only one line in it 127.0.0.1 LOCALHOST (some things like Spybot add extra lines, this is ok and it'll be commented)
  2. Have tried the repair thing. Didn't work. Thanks for response - I'll attempt the rest!
  3. Waiting for a call back. He's at Armadale now! Cheers Gav
  4. I'm having some PC problems. I can access the internet but every two minutes for about 30 seconds if I try to open a page I get this message which looks like it's coming from google: DNS error - cannot find server Oops! This link appears to be broken.Suggestions: View cached copy of page from Google Reload this page later Search on Google: Google Toolbar Help - Why am I seeing this page? ©2009 Google - Google Home This happens with any website, none in particular. I'm on XP pro, networked to a router, It's IE 6 (I know please don't laugh), my outlook express also times out sometimes, connects others. Would you say this is my computer or the supply of the broadband? Cheers for any help
  5. I need to replace a couple of my vans, looking for cheapest monthly cost as they are mainly used for transport to and from work. A car or a van would do. Anyone know of any great offers? People to contact etc?
  6. Now in order to not disappoint you Del Boy, here it comes. . . . What would you be wanting with a black bikini?
  7. This from the man who turned his baseball cap around and then said I'm old and grey! You're still young at heart Grant!!
  8. Well not being in Leuchars that much, EXCEPT LAST WEEKEND YOU PLONKER, that may be a problem!
  9. Looking for a bucket seat emporium to be honest . They must exist! I'll try the guys who've offered when I see them - if I've not took the plunge by then.
  10. Just heard this too. Hardly surprising since every team seems capable of underhand tactics. Surely they'll be thrown out? What next? Force India will probably be found guilty of trying too hard! Never a dull moment in F1, don't you love it Welsho?
  11. Sounds horrific, as above you haven't had what you actually leased so get on the lease company's back! Or, wait a minute, did Andy not say they've gone bust? Sticky position you're in bud. How long has lease to go? I know it's no laughing matter but on a lighter note, I'm dreading Andy in a real WRX let alone an STi!!!!
  12. Passed Alison on the motorway the other day, feel so sad for her, not only to lose the love of your life but your own son too, don't know how she coped. Posted elsewhere that someone doesn't go through a day without thinking of him. If I use my Scooby I always think of him when I see his name on my car. The memories will never die, such a legend. I parked at Tesco in Lanark a couple of weeks back and a boy, too young to drive, shouts 'is that Colin's car?' Unfortunately not kid, but it shows you that he reached many many people. RIP
  13. I have this plate, i made it myself to fit the bumper mount exactly, characters are printed from vinyl by sticker company. The characters are 80% normal size, the spacing is similarly proportioned. No problems as yet with the plod but I do carry a full size plate in the boot just in case!
  14. Up here in sunny Scotland, no, really, it is sunny, I want to find somewhere that has bucket seats for sale and available to try for physical size, both from my butt's point of view and my cars! I also want an aftermarket steering wheel but want to hold before I buy! So, where is the best place for this nearest to Glasgow? Who's been somewhere and found that they have what I need? So much choice on the net but I want to see the stuff first!
  15. I'm organising a karting event in the Scottish Events section. I need to take payment for it via paypal, it's the easiest way. Up until now I've only used paypal to pay for goods on the internet, the money coming directly from my bank account. I've managed to take five payments now, one which I had to request (which cost me money!). However, it would seem I can't take any more. Still got lots to collect so need help on this? Anyone know the ins and outs? Cheers
  16. When I looked into buying my Scoob, I visited them and compared their prices. Test drives weren't forthcoming at that point they just wanted to talk money. They let me sit in one (big wow) but they were too greedy with prices. Can't really fault them but I feel they could have been a little more helpful. At that time I think sales were booming. What colour are you getting? Black is the slowest remember! Red would be good going by Andy's performance!!
  17. I've not known you long Derek but I can see why the bride to be was scared!
  18. Weather was great, displays great too. Traffic? Appalling! We were 5 miles south of Cupar at 1015am. We got parked at the base at about 130pm!!!! 11 miles or so in 3 hours I could have been parked in Birmingham and having lunch in the time it took us to go 80 miles!!!! I took the Scoob too! Leaving? No better!!! In car at 545pm and out of base, just out of base mind, at 730pm!! Traffic took edge of an otherwise great day.
