hi mate don't think a long distance drive is good idea, defo sounds like its the diff, depends if you want new one or second hand? Its not all that hard to change yourself, just make sure to put miller oil in it think its 75w same as the gearbox. Another thing to check is rear disks and pads as sounds like it could be them?? Its the poilice frquency that jams them, can get a couling for round the alarm ecu in the dash but quite expensive. Anyone got anyideas how to tune a key fob back in?

Lift the couling off from arond the hand break there are two adjustment nutstoward the back seat. Brian

Is kenny not the guy with the white version 2 sti? running an inverted inlet manifold for the front mount? Up for it peter but maybe be a wee while as thinking of re doing my whole set up!! The arrow is to face back the way, bung the third pipe join the other two as you look at them from the front of the car. This is a fuel vapour filter and shouldn't be affecting your boost anyway? I would take it join the two pipes one in middle with the arrow thingy on it and push it into the pipe on the left bung the pipe on the right thfow black can in the bin and see if she runs any better. The filter thing is for fuel vapour, i keep meaning to join the two hoses from the left bung the other pipe and throw this in the bin!!!!!!! the two pipes that get connected are the ones on the left as you look at it, the one with direction arrow on it, bung the other pipe and chuck black can in bin job done. I would stick with the 2 import engines and make a good one, as they have forged internals, the uk engines have cast, so if your wanting to run higher power stick with the imports. I would go back to place that re-built your engine about your liner as well! Brian

I use halleys and used to get a discount as my girlfriends uncle worked in parts dept. I occasionaly use them for parts as they are local and pester them for discount. Would not recomend them for any sort of servicing. They are way over priced and are vauxhall specialists not Subaru!!
