  1. Agree with that the WRX and STi scoops are the same size on a hawkeye, if your friend is fitting a STI intercooler they only need to change the undertray
  2. Remember to change lanes http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-41...ging-lanes.html
  3. I had my wheels done by Peter at P&J powder coatings, top job and excellent price http://www.1stdirectory.com/Companies/1596...der_Coating.htm
  4. My GB270 made 345bhp/380lbft, decat, 1.35 bar, on vpower. Nice figures you made on 97ron
  5. For the use you have specified I would advise going for the prodrive springs, uprated rear ARB, alloy droplinks and ALK along with fast road geometery settings. These changes made a big difference to the handling of my GB270(springs were fitted as standard). The ride is pretty firm without being too harsh.
  6. I went for the mintex 1144's good all round pad. Found this link quite helpful for bedding in new pads http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedintheory.shtml
  7. NGK ILFR7H are the ones mate, longer reach than the 2.0l ones. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...p;hl=NGK+ILFR7H edited as thread found
  8. I've done similar power mods to John to the GB270 along with whiteline rear ARB, ALK and fast road geometry settings, the car is running 345bhp/380lb/ft and is superb to use as a daily driver and for fun, but if I was doing it all over again i would definatley go for a STI. I'm now thinking of more power and trackdays, so brakes, gearbox and forged bottom end are coming into my thoughts As a road car the WRX with the stage 2 mods is great to drive, but it depends what you want from your car, I made the decision to go for the WRX(GB270), but with hindsight I should have gone for the STI.
  9. Barry, hopefully I'll make the next one
  10. Very nice Barry
  11. Very nice wagon mate
  12. Mine were also marked MO, had bother finding a supplier and when I did the price put me off, ended up going with the goodyear F1 asymetricals
  13. I use Vpower as that was my car was mapped on, although Andyf said tesco99 would be ok to.
  14. My dipstick is clean and shiney, I use silkolene pro-s 5-40, changed every 5000miles, going to use the 10-50 next though.
  15. sorry to see this, was a superb spec C
  16. Good Stuff Bobby, enjoy it.
  17. Car looks superb, love those seats.
  18. Very happy with the service at Hypertech
  19. This sounds superb http://www.millteksport.com/media.file.cfm?fileid=533 but with your unfair treatment recently not sure you would want to go with it.
  20. APlan were cheapest for me with mods, Keith Michaels came close but Greenlight were about £70 more. Initial impressions with Aplan good, but can't say any more as its the first time I've used them.
  21. Looks Superb , think I've seen your car in the Prestwick Area
  22. Those look like decent prices Bobby.
  23. Used a wire brush, fine wet & dry paper and "alloy metal paint" from B&Q, on the case. Straightend any bent fins with a small knife and picked out small stones and dead flies with a toothpick, then cleaned with autoglym engine degreaser.
  24. Bobby spend a wee bit of time tidying up the intercooler, if your not too happy with it. mine arrived like this and after a wee bit of work I also noticed some oil in the y-pipe so flushed out the intercooler with petrol.
