  1. They'd smell it coming a mile away!
  2. I was shocked when i found the lilac air freshener
  3. Gutted for you fella - these people are scum. I've done the same as you though, got a nice little spot near the shop and got a dent in my door for my trouble. Now it's as far away as possible from anything else (including 2 spaces if possible and plenty of spaces available).
  4. Well let's hope they actually do something about it
  5. Sorry to hear about this Kip - i f*****g hate these type of people. Did your security not get the reg. of the 106 ?
  6. Just had the Prodrive backbox fitted to mine - sounds nice without being too loud. Had a louder custom exhaust on my last car and got very tiresome after a while. I know you said you haven't much money but you could try a 2nd hand Prodrive box and try it for a while - if you want louder you could always save up for a new centre section which would only set you back around £100 or so new.
  7. Got mine from Revolution for around £1150 with Yoko Parada's fited.
  8. Without trying to sound thick, how can you tell when this is happening. Haven't had any problems with either V Power or Tesco 99.Sticking with V Power at the mo though.
  9. Welcome and feel free to post pictures of the wife as well !!!
  10. I agree,an absolute bargain price. Full marks to Andy for the new website !
  11. Creepy,i was wondering about mine today as well. I have an 07 model and wondered if anybody else has manual DCCD selected ? Mines been on auto since i got the car.
  12. Exhausts and particularly backboxes SHOULDN'T affect the warranty. I'm almost certain you'll be okay with the Prodrive one anyway mate, best to give a few dealers a shout to ask them first - always worth getting more than one as they do differ sometimes
  13. Crikey,i won.......I never win nowt me. Anybody know what the exact cost was for the new website ? edit....... Doh,just read the members area like i should have done in the 1st place !!!! The bribe of a toffee crisp and a packet of salted peanuts to close the competition early worked
  14. A-Plan for me too.... I reckon you should be able to get it around £500 - £650 ish from them.
  15. I thought the same when going from my RX-8 to my STi.Unfortueately i don't think you'll get that go-kart type handling you had without spending a fair bit of money. What i have done however was i got some Prodrive lowering springs fitted. This vastly improved body roll and getting the geometry set up to suit will really improve the handling.
  16. Not for me at the moment - just doesn't float my boat i'm afraid. I've always been more of a saloon fan but i'll reserve my final condemnation until i see the STi.
  17. Renny, was that the dealer fit mess up they sorted on the Hawkeye? Out of interest what camber settings did you choose and how does it ride now? Thanks Yes mate, the dealer put the front spring top plates on wrong,Carnetix took the springs out again and corrected it.the dealer coughed up the labour charge tough, after a phone call from myself and putting Glenn on the phone to them to explain the technical bits or what was wrong !! As far as settings go i THINK i went for 1.0 neg camber - i'll have to dig out the printout and find out for sure. I just told them it wasn't for track use and i use mainly A & B roads but also told them i didn't want to wear the tyre insides too quickly !! Whatever it is it handles much better than it did, hardly any body roll and it's a lot more positive goes into bends and roundabouts.
  18. Thats good cos I'm going there next Friday to have Prodrive springs fitted and full geometry done..... There pricing seems good so I'll let you know what there like Glenn and Becky are really good mate, you won't be disappointed. Tell them Lee says hi (just tell them i'm the one that they had to sort my front Prodrive springs out last week !) Cheers
  19. Not sure about a new exhaust causing the noise but my standard STi had a mild phooooosht before i fitted a Green Panel filter. Now it's slightly more pronounced - sounds good IMHO without being too loud. It's basically the air intake,i may be wrong but i think the more air going in = better sound hence the noise changing a bit when induction kits or different filters are put in.I could be wrong and i know it's only a basic description ! Sounds normal to me though mate.
