I did this to my newage and the STi wheel is thicker and slightly smaller in diameter, it was a doddle to fit, even the airbag was easy, only trouble I had was finding a nice one.
-
Would have to say go for it, but only if you're going to leave it pretty much standard as when you start mucking about with the special editions it can really affect their resale value.
-
When I had this problem I just replaced the whole lot with a tein coilover kit, it transformed the car, as others have said no point in putting another set of shocks on that will only last a couple of thousand miles.
-
Hard to believe that anyone survived that one.

That looks nasty, can only say that a similar thing happened to me, but in a BMW and at the vets, and I ended up paying for it myself as the vets simply did not care, parking at own risk etc, it was about £1000 as I needed a new bumper and fixings etc, but was less hassle than claiming, although I had protected no claims I'm sure thay would have put my premium up anyway. Good luck, hope it all gets sorted soon

Got mine in this morning, 03 WRX, was so relieved when I opened it to find: Can't explain the difference!! have the new rates come into force yet??
-
Hello and welcome. Nice looking motor, love the alloys - Black is OK but blue for me I'm affraid!!!

Your speaking to the wrong people! Sorry about all this, seemed to have hijacked your post. But spoke to BBS myself, they confirmed that not enough offset on these wheels to fit!!, if I should be speaking to someone else, can you let me know? Really like the Forester by the way, pity my other half thinks one scooby is enough!! Dave
-
I spoke to checkpoint, they phoned UK distributor. They said the offset was the problem!! Perhaps I'll try a bit harder and phone somewhere down south.
-
Hi, where did you get the BBS CH's from, I have been looking for some for my 03 WRX but have been told that are import only from far east!! (at huge cost). Dave
-
Cal, As a newbie I think this is a great idea. Got it sorted out, but did take a bit of doing!! but worth it I think. Cheers Dave

The new exhaust replaces one of the cats with a straight through pipe. I may be wrong here but I think you only get the fuel pump on the STI PPP. Dave P.S. I think all the details, including before and after power and torque graphs are available on the Subaru website (or might be Prodrive).

Hi, I'm a newage owner and always wave, I've had the problem in the opposite direction, think classic boys look a newages as not "proper" scoobies!!! New to scooby ownership, so I've no axe to grind, just sayin it like I see it. Dave
-
No, they are the clip design and just slide into place over the existing holes in the front bumper, should be petty straight forward when you get them and offe them up to the car. Dave
-
Craig, If your talking STI winglets onto a newage WRX, I've just fitted some to mine, the only thing I had to do was remove the plastic clip holders from the winglets as they stopped the winglets sitting flush. Then other than drill a couple of slots in the bumper recess for the clips (careful here as mine were such a tight fit that I cant get them off again), they were very easy to fit. (I bought the correct captive nuts and bolts from Subaru with my winglets). Hope this helps. Dave

Hi guys, sorry about all these questions, but new to scoobies, anyway here goes! Now that my car corners and stops!!! what should I do next, seen a Prodrive sports cat off an STI that I am considering, but would I be better saving my money and going for a decat, I'm not looking for massive power, but 330-350 would be nice, is this still possible with the sports cat. Decat I know is good for that, and a lot more!! but not sure if I can put up with all the swapping about each year for the Mot. Anyone got any good advice or opinions. Cheers Dave

Porridge always woks a treat, especially in this weather!! Dave
