  1. Yeh, I was shocked how my WRX handled as std. when i got it. And I have endedup spending a few pennies on getting it right, its almost there now though.
  2. Bloody h**l! Only costs the missus 15 squid to get her dash flocked!
  3. Yep, thinking about taking the caravan down to Skye for the Hghland Meet in May.
  4. Cheers and Yep, did end up having to do few jobs in and about the house too. After all, couldnt spend all day on the cars..... or could I?
  5. Yeh, the good old Pug 306 1.9TD... Got a good offer on it I couldnt refuse, picked up the Rav a week later, great for this time of year, especially with other half working in Keith, 215mm wide tyres on a focus with no abs in the winter and her driving wouldnt mix well.
  6. Nah, 2 reasons for that. 1. Home made mesh (didnt want the Prodrive silver) and there is a cut behind the number plate to allow it to curve round following the shape of the bumper. 2. Company car, last thing i want is a enquiry from the "boys in blue" for a non-std number plate, already pushing my luck with the car as it is with them!
  7. Its great what you can get done without a hangover on a Sunday morning!
  8. Cant help myself, even Sunday mornings! Family Scrubbing
  9. Not often I get all the cars clean at the same time so thought I would just throw up some pics, The Wagon and Rav4 are mine and the Focus is the other halfs...
  10. 1. ScoUK 2. Mckay 3. Cullenmin 4. Connor 5. Scooby Doom 6. Tommo9375 (hopefully) 7. Scooby-girl (maybe) 8. Jus (hopefully) 9. Dave l wrx 10. rosshendry23 (maybe) 11. Mckay's mate and his sport 12. Smiler AS Trip to Edinburgh moved to Sun.
  11. Sorry, wont make it guys. Down in Edinburgh on Sat. Pity, as ive been treating the car to a couple of coats of Dodo Blue Velvet wax and liking the results... good stuff.
  12. I went to GT Tyres in Forres after getting my coilovers on, they fiddled with my Hawkeye WRXand it was ok. However a month later I went to Progrip (Bonnybridge) and the results coming from him after he altered (and corrected) GT Tyres settings was just simply outstanding.
  13. Geometry, Subarus own tolerances are massive, would get it done by specialist, worth the money, enjoyment and prolong tyre life.
  14. Unfortunately, the hawkeyes dont have the dual map thingy available, to have the "pops and bangs" on / off if that was possible. Im thinking I might go for low level pops and bangs! Al/ScoUK, I had the Turbosmart dump valve on at thtat RR day when I flamed the poor kids lol!, think I might have had turned so it was too hard though, hence pop/flame! I currently have the HKS SSQV and the car doesnt quite pop as much.
  15. If your meaning the Elgin one in particular, I stuck to the entrance and lower level when I had the Prodrive springs on and was ok, (had splitter on too with Hawkeye (only saying that due to Hawkeyes having quite long noses)). Any of the Inverness ones are ok too. I havent yet ventured in with the Teins on, car is prob another 10/15mm lower than on prodrive springs. Ps. Let me know if you venture up top in Elgin!
  16. Yeh, maybe if you could just so I can be sure. Cheers.
  17. Wont do it if it causes damage, but as you say thats prob down to a proper anti lag system. Just wouldnt mind a few more noises, especially after some of the comments through at Japerformance RR day a while ago.
  18. Looks like im almost sorted out now, the Hawkeye WRX and STIs have same scoop so sticking with OEM top scoop and might be able to get a JDM undertray to match TMIC.
  19. The JDM STI TMIC covergae area looks the same as a UK STI, just seems to have a "notch" in it at the top, and undertrays always seem to advertise ver 8/9 compatiable (inc. jap performance parts ones) which is fine, just wasnt sure about the scoop mounting shape from a blobeye to hawkeye as their was a STI 8 scoop and undertray set available elsewhere.
  20. Yep , planning on going to Andy F as he done my orginal remap and Ecutek license, no idea on cost yet, wouldnt have thought it would be much more on top of a remap.
  21. Yeh, night have to end up doing that. Didnt really want to pay for a new undertay if it can be helped, just get a STI one (complete one even better) but if he can do just the the larger rubber seal that might be an option. Bobby, Cheers for the info recently BTW, looks like im following the same route as you shortly, even going to use Hypertech too.
  22. Yeh, good point. I only tend to be using the car now and then as have got a daily runabout so not too bothered about getting tired of it, plus I stay out of town too. Is there varying degrees it can be setup too or is it just all or nothing?
  23. As the title says, going for JDM STI intercooler on my WRX. Can get hold of STI undertrays, but they dont seem to have a rubber shroud and rubber seal like the WRX's have? Is this normal for the STI's (ie. they dont have a shroud and seal) because of the larger intercooler? Edited: Might have found a hood and under tray / shroud combo from a Blobeye STI, can anyone / someone take pics of their Blobeye scoop from above and below to see if its similar to a Hawkeye scoop, some say yes and some say no??? Thank you,
  24. Will be going for another remap soon on my WRX. Ive heard about a few people getting an "overun feature" enabled (I know sounds like a cheat on PS game!) to give more pops and bangs - in basic terms what is it and is it doing harm to the engine? I do like the odd pop bang and even the odd flame when running with no cats but dont want to do any damage? Any thoughts and opinions?
  25. Definetly! Calls have been made already, cheers for the info. Project for next year is about the figures you have got there (got full decat and the delete elbow). Some silicone intake hoses next. Think im right in saying that the 2.5WRX's dont have cat up pipe.
