Woke up this morning after a few sociables last nite, and decided to pop up to Crail just to see what the White Lightning was producing, and was pretty chuffed with a 11.56 with a 1.88 60ft launch, fastest car of the day,and that was with the boost hose coming off about a good 400 meters to the end.. Went to a local garage as the boost hose was the one in the inner wing so was a bit of a mare to get at, the front bumper needed to come off, thought all was good again, and decided to give it another blast which one was obliged he he again pulled a 11.77 again boost hose blew off so a visit to SW tommoro for a quick fix.. Also a thanks to the lads that came to my help with some handy spanners... Was nice to meet you Proffesor and loved the Skyline was well impressed with its performance.. Chris..

'Well' lol thats me truly home now the White lightning was away seeing Andy F this morning the 9th for a new remap a few extra horses under the bonnett now the White Lightning will be picked up tommorow morning and then time to have a bit of well deserved fun,rear brake conversion finished now just putting new STI pedals momo steering wheel,and a quick wash..see ya all soon, Mikey ill see ya tommorow bud for a wee blast.... bring your space suit lol .. Well that how i am feeling right now and to answer your question Frank its a MONSTER LOL just of the dog and bone to Stevie after it mapping with MR A.F and Stevies words were it Fucxxxx Frightning the power delivery is so visious he says it drives and sound a totally diffrent car .. the weather conditions were not to good and all, it did was want to wheel spin in every gear lol....its 500 lol and the ressssssssssst and with a bit more tourque still got the rear brake conversion and do the swithces for the anti-lag ect so mikey be affraid not scared mate he he just looking forward to coming home now ..the rest of the car will be finished off in the next couple of days... A big thanks to Stevie Whitson at (SW) motorsport probally one of the best engine builders out there... And a big thanks to Andy F in his magic mapping nice one the best mapper in Scotland by far. Now a member of the over 500 club... Chris time to unleash the white lightning..

Thanks Derek im sure ill be happy now lol hope so lol , pop up any time steve will show you around it, there is still more bits to be done ie the rear break set up and other bits and piecies main component is the mappin today, ive got to admit the last 6 months the car has changed alot home in 2 days so roll on is all i can say.. Cheers buddy alot of time and effort when into this phase of the build tbh... and expense will post up tonite the results of the White Lightning, its not getting mapped untill about 2oclock the intercooler pipes that are on it are the old pipes the new ones are still to be fitted, as there is 2 sensors to be added with the simtek stevie will run it down to Andy F with the set up of the Maf and once there the new Set up will begin now im exited lol....its been of the road for the last 3 months so will be time to enjoy it...watch for a seperate post tonite.. Well folks another update as promised and can see the light at the end of the tunnell, spoke SW last nite and is in the last stages with the Suby.. just plumbin in all the new fuel lines with the help of a friend, as you can see in the Pics the engine is plumbed in so final stages and Stevie is working like a man possessed at the moment ... another big day on the 6th when the White Lightning get's mapped by the man himself AF with the new simtek anti-lag with a taste of Launch control and with methanol.. so yes cant wait to see the results.....what you think any comments welcolme??The car will be put in my sprayers whilst i sneak away to Turkey for a week...to have the inside painted... Hey lads .. thats a fair comment arrived home the last time missus picked me up and went straight to pick the car up and was not seen for 4 hours so was in the bad books straight away....selfish i know If you go up tommorow Frank can you take some happy snaps and post Stevie said he can do it but has not got the camera untill friday that if you go up for a sneak preview im jelous your seeing it before me lol Ill be home on the 9th lads ... then out on the 10th for a wee run... Well folks update time again, things are surely moving fast Stevie is on the car 12 hours a day bless him lol... all parts for the twisted set up such as the up-pipe- down-pipe turbo housing have arrived all painted gloss balck with a ceramic coat...looking the dogs took the bells of my 6 pots and sent them away to change the colour again painted all in black, the engine is built and in the car sitting pretty with the V3 heads and all uprated cams, and just putting the rest togeather also was a few forged items bought ohh a alloy race radiator...all the hosing will be done in black Samco and stevie at the moment is doing the induction pipes which is all custom stainless Steel with the induction pipe 4 half inch so said is a bit of a mare to get in the bumper .. the joys... also the fuelling system and fire wall in the boot is complete just need to be set up and will be next pirority.. the roll cage is back in and once again powder coadted in Gloss Black.... up grading the rear brakes and hand break to a late O7 WRX and will alow me to have the bigger rear disks need it to stop this thing so alot going on as we speak preping the car for it mapping session on the 6th... cant wait there is lots of other bits ive probally missed... will be putting it in the sprayers to have the inside painted once stripped...... Will post Pics up asap ...

Hi Steve a suggestion i have cut a hole in my inner wing for the induction pipe and the filter is down by the front bumper keeping the air flow and away from all that nasty heat of the engine.. and mines is on a Classic..SW is sortin my induction out just now the filter is massive so need the space.. Give him a call number is on my signature block best of luck...maby he has a diffrent method for your set up...there many ways.. Chris

Looking fantastic not a fan of the bug eye mate however one of the best looking Bugs iv'e seen.. hat's of to you, i like the fins and the air intakes nice one and deffo have the best choice in colour

Deffo the 2.35 with V3 heads/cams for me, the way to go...i have fitted a cosworth sump and baffle plate.. no dramas with Oil surge...SW will work his magic mate, he has done all my engine work and touch wood no issues.. Wish i had went 2.35 ohh i am shortly...

Yes Stevie is a true proffesional mate... and does look after his garage, wish mines was that spotless .lol ye the lotus is a smasher had a wee look about it with Stevie it will be one quick buggy once its finished...and has the handeling to go with it.. Chris
