when i got the car i hadnt driven it much and then decided to fit this new vta bov. so when i was poking around under the dash like a plum i connected the two green plugs that were loose as i thought they were for my spot lamps[:$] i had probs with the new bov and have since found out that these two plugs are for resetting the ecu along with the black ones (which were already joined ?). anyway upon reading ecu resetting by andy 22b, i can see that i have been touching stuff i shouldnt have done. it says that it may take 30-100 miles for the car's ecu to learn again ! what a faaaanny !! i need shot ! you would think by having other jap performance cars that i would bloody learn/know something by now ! maybe i should just shut up for once and listen ! anyone want to give me a dry slap ??

yip it was only getting .5 bar. but have put the recirc back on now but never reset the ecu after i had the new hose fitted this morning ! (plum !) anyway i will refit tomorrow and check it out. from what i can read i should've reset it. so will see how we go in the morning. cheers guys ! i can be a bit of a knob at times ! !

does it need a reset after fitting this bov ?

i have used them and bought a sterring wheel and boss kit for my skyline which didnt fit ! took it back and no drama just cash back with an apology ! i have however heard of a couple of stories about the father and son with regards to others but been ok with me so far !

i have mine on the left hand pipe ! could this be a factor ? i have fitted a new elbow to the bov and is tight and snug.

i added that i had put a NEW ELBOW on that leaky looking part. its all tight as a drum and no leaks there. should it be on the other pipe ? or the other side of the engine?

after fitting my new bov, the cel comes on and the boost is crap. i put it in direct replacement to the recirc one. any ideas.??

the valve is coming off ! i am not getting full boost and the cel is on. bugger ! it sounds great too. maybe i havent fitted it properly , ie, on the right part of the intercooler pipes etc. i put a new elbow on it today and checked it all over but not boosting well. it was in direct replacement of the recirculating on aswell ? any you guys got a fmic with a vta bov fitted ?

to register you need v55/5,134.50 which includes reg fee and 6 months tax. and an mot. send it all away to dvla and hey presto ! 4 -5 days and you have a tarmac terrorist !

ma mates wur roon an they use avon skin so soft they used it at the tt and the north west 200 as they camped oot ! it seems that its in aw the fishin' mags etc an' it'll stoap ye gettin chewed tae feckin' bits wae these wee besterts ! an naw they urnae bent ! yeez heard it fae a straight loon ! get yer party planner oot ![<)]

steve , it does chirp like the rally cars coming off boost ! its bloody great but needs fitted properly !

ye know i think you are right ! the pipe isnt right and it does need a 990 deg pipe to make good. this might also cause the cel as it wasnt doing it b4. but i cant run it about too much as there is no tax mot yet ! .

no this pipe was like this when i got it ! i think it was something that isnt needed now since the fmic was fitted ! but col, the hose clip isnt on right as the hose needs a 90 deg bend to suit its position. its ok when idling but the power is down when driving along the road but there is practicaly no fuel in her and the check engine light came on. could this be down to low fuel pressure since its nearly empty ?

es boys! i can yap !!! as for the dump valve , i think i havent done it properly as it drives like a plug now and the check engine light came on !lol ! can someone tell me if its fitted correctly ! it sounds great revved on the drive but when i drive it there is no power. the car is very low on fuel though too !i'll post pics ! i think it possibly fuel now that i think of it but have a look at the pic !
