  1. Depends on year of block as newer ones tend to be stronger. Jap or Uk differ too, jap spec's usually being stronger. Don't think the Sti v5/v6 or P1 block would handle 1.7/1.8 for very long Your mapper has all the answers and he is best person to keep you right on the safe levels of boost Rich
  2. Nice car bud, the scoobies always win you over in the end Are you planning to track it? Rich
  3. Glad you found one steve, hope its good to you Will be good to see it in the flesh at a meet sometime Rich
  4. Its an improvement to the front. Can you get them smoked though as that would look even better on the WR Blue with your dark alloys? Rich
  5. Some good info on here........if your building a high performance race machine Greame the wrap will be fine for you and you can do it yourself. The DEI wrap seems to be good stuff and I have it on my headers. Mine were prewrapped when I bought them from harvey smith (scoobynetter) but you can make a good job of it yourself if you take the time to do it. You'll need some proper metal straps or ties to keep the wrap held in place for the long term. There have been threads in the past about wrapping and using sprays, maybe worth a search on here as I can't remember exactly what advice was given back then. Rich
  6. Poor thing must have had a hard paper round in the subaru forecourt. Looks stunning, my CTR is red and relatively shiny but I cant wait to get it machine polished Rich
  7. Was there much SIDC'ers turn up? Wheres the rest of the pics Rich
  8. Graeme you keep the heat in the exhaust so it doesnt radiate heat in the engine bay. The centre section is under the car so doesnt matter about radiated heat there. Rich
  9. I'm on the verge of DIY adam tbh coz I just want it finished now. I have already masked up and moved the wiring loom out the road and masked up some other bits inside the car. Would I need to prepare the bdkwork or cage before spraying it or is it justa case of making sure its clean? Couple of coats of primer then a final coat? I'm going white for interior. I do plan to go to as many track days this year that I can manage. My shift rota is about to change and the Trackscotland dates arent the best for me...typical (I'm sure i can make some swaps though ) Rich
  10. This is going to be an impressive car once...dare i say it......once its finished, if it can ever be finished Rich
  11. Struggling to get a painter/sprayer to do the inside of my car. Anyone know anybody, near perth that may be willing to do the job? If I can't get anyone then i'll be doing it myself with spray cans to get the thing back on the road for mid march Rich
  12. My question is past tense neil Any more subaru's in the horizon then? Top secret, good stuff - get them estimated figures up after the mapping, good luck Rich
  13. Thats good going What you had done? Rich
  14. Anyone had a night out in ullapool? How are the pubs? How many are there?
  15. I have texted him about this post for you Aaron Rich
  16. Hope you get it fixed min. Good tips above that you could try. I managed to flood my engine after fitting the bigger injectors so I had to remove/replace the plugs and it fired up 1st time after that. Was easy enough on my classic as all I had to remove was an intercooler pipe/water bottle and air filter. ABS makes it a lot harder to reach the plugs on drivers side but mine doesnt have ABS, yours will, PITA job. I don't think yours is flooded though, this is for info more than anything. Rich
  17. It all sounds very interesting cosworth working with subaru, can only be a good thing for a new model to come out but... should it not be called a "Subaru Impreza WRX Cosworth" coz I bet all the STi bits will be changed for cosworth bits. It has the potential to be a whole new model, top end of the impreza range. Rich
  18. My wee bro is riding shotgun. I have failed to tell him he may need some long johns The gf was at crail last year and spectating at knockhill last week so I'm breaking her in gently Rich
