  2. Hi Iain, I hope you have a good time up north in the highlands. There sure are some cracking roads to drive on up there. Unfortunately I am not up north at the moment or I would have been up for a meet. Its always good to put faces to usernames etc. I'm sure some of the other northern boys will try their best to meet up to say hello and make you feel welcome Rich
  3. I run that all the time. Its better suited to older (classics) with non standard bhp. Keeping track temperatures at 85 degrees is good going. Where is your oil cooler mounted? Rich

  11. that is a sure fire way to get more replies. Reason I didnt reply was because my stereo system in the car is poo, and I have been thinking about removing it completely. Save weight
  12. I really do hate hearing about this kind of thing. Sounds like you got lucky there. Makes me think they were maybe scared off somehow. I take it this was in broad daylight? ......Now that is worrying
  13. Its still a hatch, and I'd still rather have the new Focus RS
  14. Welcome to the nut house, nice car you got there mate
  15. Hey Geo, thanks for the detailed explaination of all the possible items to help suspension & handling. I'm going to find out whats missing from my machine and populate a shopping list I may be in touch quite soon Rich
  16. All depends how you treat it really. Can be the same as a uk turbo, check all your fluids regularly, service it when it needs a service or if you've been tracking it you should always change the oil afterwards etc. When you get into the realms of big turbo's and lots of boost, expect to break it now and then Subaru's are very reliable cars if looked after correctly Rich
  17. I know the prices of cars have hit rock bottom, but with what i've spent on my 1998 type R over the last couple of months, I would never even sell it at £7500 even if I was offered that! There are some good ones going about that are cheap, just make sure and do your research, look at a few of them and make your mind up on which one you eventually buy. Rich
  18. Too true
  19. Andy is usually a very busy man. Don't know if he is away or not. Your best bet is to send a quick e-mail that is straight to the point, then you'll get a reply within a few days. Rich
  20. Presumably you've got the standard subaru 4 pots, you just need the turbo category brake pads. AWD stock brake pads for all subaru calipers. Rich
  21. Thats quite a collection geo, thanks for sharing Rich
  22. Thanks folks, yes the wheels turn and yes I did make a scooby burble noise upon completion I'm looking forward to seeing yours grant, and its got to be a replica of the fat banana Rich
  23. The strut brace did not help in your case but its not the brace's fault that the car left the road Rich
  24. Possibly, kept me out the pub for a while
  25. Had a bit too much time on my hands last week so found something to do... The paint job is crap but I'm not bothered. Tried to replicate my own car as best as I could Hope you all like it. Lets see your model cars Rich
