  1. I still have the battery connected so I can try that.

I removed air filter + MAF on one side. Intercooler pipework + screen wash bottle on the other side.

Is it safe to just turn the key over like that for a couple cranks?

  2. Quick query for you folks.

I managed to flood my engine the other day due to problems with the map sensor + the bigger injectors fitter prior to remap. The map sensor was sending a duff signal back to the apexi so the car wouldnt idle unless revved, after a few attempts I gave up, dried out the map sensor but it led to the engine getting flooded.

Today I have removed the spark plugs and tomorrow I will be fitting new ones and doing an oil change.

My query is though, how can I be sure to remove any excess petrol in the cylinders. No petrol came out the spark plug holes but the plugs were damp. Can I turn the in any way to be sure the excess fuel is out of the cylinders or shall I just leave the holes open until tomorrow? Any excess fuel in there might just evaporate out or would it?

Remap on tuesday so this can has got be be running by then ;)

    Cheers

  6. What about the map sensor to do with the boost system?

    BINGO

This wee unit reads the vacuum & boost pressure then sends it back to the Apexi ecu and displays the reading on the commander.

I think it is the 2 bar map sensor.

Problem is that my apexi is displaying - - - - on the boost and the car will not idle when it see's this, then it stalls. It is tempromantal and at the moment is doing my head in. This is what stopped the car from running before the skye run, then it worked again and i thought it was a loose vacuum hose causing it.

I need to borrow one to see if it is this small piece of wizzardry that is stalling my car, or better still, if anyone has one to sell????

Well done jonboy, you have 10 points :icon_salut:

5 points for grant for all the narrowing in on the answer hehe

  7. Ok,

10 points to whoever can guess what this bit is and what it does?

I kinda know what it is and what it does as my one pictured is tempromental and I need to either borrow one (to see if it is faulty) or buy one from anyone who has a spare?
