  1. So by the time its all fitted that will be 300 hundred shekels... great! Oh I have an oil cooler!!! How boring is that?! £300 could be spend on sexier mods than that!
  2. That is correct. There is nothing green about this, it is nothing more than a stealth tax. If the governement were really serious about being "green" they would tax cars that do heavier mileage, not bigger cars that do less milage and therefore have less emmissions. Nothing more than daylight robbery.
  3. If your turbo is goosed mate, I know a man who has a replacement TD04 from a WRX06 with 20K on, he'll do you a good deal! Also has an intercooler to go with it if you needed that too!
  4. Much is all this going to cost me, any idea?
  5. Erm, no idea. ED-209 could tell you, it was his mechanic who fitted it. It's not on the filter, its on a sensor under the alternator. I belive some sort of nut was removed and the sensor screwed in in its place. No thermostat, no. Would the 2.5 over the 2.0 make any difference? Plus I'm pulling 400ft/lbs of torque, dunno if that would help explain it. The oil levels were fine and I run Motul 15/50. I might PM RS Grant and see what his gauges where reading as he is running similiar figures and the 2.5.
  6. Poor guy
  7. I let it get to 120 degrees (which is in the red on my gauges) and then I run a couple of cooling laps then into the pits.
  8. Na, its plenty wide in most parts
  9. Well, you got me all red-faced and drawiing little circles on the ground with my big toe, high-praise indeed. Thanks! Hopefully next time you can grab a pax.
  10. Looks nice... I need to take a wee cruise around that neighbourhood, see how the other half live,
  11. Oh right, the new flats just off the Clydside Expressway? I'd say "nice car" but I said that on the last thread with 300 pictures!
  12. Don't think the next gevernment will be any better mate, they are all the same - a shower of useless cr4p. Cameron is supposed to be touting an even harder line on gas guzzlers - so who knows, the little weed might make us pay even more... perish the thought.
  13. What harbour is this?
  14. Sorry, I'm a cutting edge kinda guy, so not just cars. Same goes for really old furniture and things, only we give it a fancy name and make it worth a fortune: antiques!!!! New stuff PLEASE!
  15. Sorry I scared you mate
  16. Very nice, the Type R looks the part, lovely and shiny too, great job.
  17. Well at least the off-side rear wont be worn to the canvas! Takes balls to drive like that... even if you are a woman driver!
  18. Sorry to go against the grain of popular opinion, but I don't get it! Scooby ownership to an old fashioned van? I must be missing something... Enjoy it though, I'm sure you will.
  19. Not surprised to see the Pug in the wall having seen the previous pic with it on two wheels (nearly)! Cute lookin' driver though. I'm counting the days till the next day as well, such a blast!
  20. I see. Cheers for that mate. I guess going for the halfway between the two idea, is the way to go. J
  21. A beautiful picture of a beautiful car. Impressed!
  22. Aye, I know the feeling. Yesterday was the first run out with the new (2nd hand) front Brembos and I have to say, they were mucho better than my previous standard 4-pots. Not so much that they are more efficient, although they are, but they are more durable. On the last track day I warped and heat fractured my front disks, effectively trashing them in the space of a few laps, as I was running with the new power. I want more power too! Ha! Shameful is it not? I need to invest in an oil cooler first of all though.
  23. Ha! As frustrating and annoying the new road tax is, I wouldn't choose that route my friend. Mon the Newages!
