MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!! Maybe you should put your 350D into manual mode Dunc
-
LOL! You know it makes sense
-
Yeah. But blocking the entire M8 then having a spokesperson for the club there making a point about the fuel prices. If the police where in agreement the TV companies could be alerted to the plan and bingo...TV coverage the lot. Maybe some of our police members can give us guidance.
-
Just think, 6 cars could bring both carrageways to a standstill! We'd get on TV and everything! I wonder what would be the worst thing to happen to us if we did that. Just think if there is an emergency vehicle trying to pass and we blocked it. That wouldn't bode to well. I wonder if there is a sensible way to do this by actaully telling the police that we want to do it. That way they could police it and oirganise a way though for emergency vehicles on teh hard shoulder etc. I know its fraught with difficutlies, I'm jsut thinking out loud...

That is staggering beyond belief! If you extrapolate from those figures, you'd be talking many thousands of £££ per month for your current mortgage (about the same as mine) at 15.9%!!! The oil companies must take soem of the blame too. Why would they want prices down? They make more money out of it too. Also, you don't see them helping to develop alternative fueling methods for fear of losses in the lack of oil demands. I can't belive that in this day and age, no one has come up with another way to make electricity or run cars etc. using alternative methods. Someone somewhere is putting the brakes on those developments if you ask me.
-
Was jsut about to say that. Nice pics and good to hear about your orders.
-
LOL! Less of the "old"
-
I thoguht his gearbox was shafted. Didn't hang around getting it sorted out, did he?
-
LOL! Yeah, I do that at the pumps -
-
I don't think yo uunderstand Scott, those rises back in the Tory days put people on the streets. Fuel rises wont have the sort of devastaing effect on us that nearly 16% on the mortgage rate did. If my rate went up to that, I woudln't have a house, simple as that. And back in the day also, it was the GOVERNMENT who set the mortgage rate, not the bank of England. That is why the current leaders gave it over to the BOE so as to prevent a repeat of those dreadful days.

Judging by your avatar, you wont have any problems receiving waves I can't say that I have seen any particular wave from other Scooby drivers, or even use a ceratin one, It's just nice to get a wave of any sort back.

WHAT!!!! That's the price of a new front splitter with enough left over to nearly fill the tank. Or ALK supplied and fitted... etc. etc.! Man, you must be REALLY into this detailing thing to pay that out for ONE pot of shiny stuff! I dread to think the cost of all your other stuff!

As the price of oil per barrell of crude rises, the government gains rise at the SAME rate. It therefore SUITS the government to have high oil prices becasue of the massive tax gains. If those to55ers at no. 10 really wanted to help, then why not slash the duty at the pumps? Its really that freaking simple! IF or when the price of crude comes down again, then increase duty at the pumps. Why can't they do that? We are jsut far too soft as a nation, we take everything lying down, Three cars could bring the M8 to a standstill by going slow side-by-side across the three lanes. Do that often enough with some banners and maybe people will start to listen. As for Gus' comment re voting for the other mob; that is right on in my opinion. No point on grumbling about Brown as the other half would be just as bad, who knows, perhaps even worse. I have never voted in my life and I never will for there is no one worthy of my vote. Freedom and democracy are con-words, plain and simple! Go to the oppressed Arab States (as the US see it) and ask how much they pay at the pumps. Libya... 15p per litre. Or take a trip to China (who are being blamed for the massive increase in demand) and its about 35p / per litre. Why not make them pay the same as us!!!!???? WTF is going on man!!!!! We are seeing through this, yet no one wants to do anything about it!!!! I HATE this country.. but at least we don't have hurricanes, typhoons, Tsunamis, earthquakes or cyclones... well not to any real extent. Perhaps counting blessing will help salve the pain... then again, perhaps not.

Yeah, I thought about that. I do tend to overly use the gears to slow the car into the first corner and the hairpin at knockers. And while I do not flat-shift like AlanG, I do shock-shift a bit. Maybe I should use the brakes a bit harder and match the gear to the speed a bit more, and be more gently on up-shifts.

What is so good about this stuff? Where do you get it? Much is it?
-
If an STi Box was handling that, then my measly, paltry 340/400 should easily be handled by the WRX box. Perhaps I was a bit unlucky, perhaps I am a bit ham-fisted or perhaps the gearing in the WRX derivative is actaully made of MDF after all. Oh how I WISH I knew this stuff!
-
Every 5 minutes That reminds me, I have done well over the 1000 miles with my new box and really should have gone in and got the oil changed. See, no wonder why things break on me!

LOL! Wouldn't look too bad along the bottom of the doors with the oval and stars at the front of the car, might do it! OR The oval and stars at the bottom of the car above the mud-flap with JW 340 going along the bottom of the car with some orange viper-style stripes, hehe! That would be simple but effective. I just looked at the new-look SWRT site and its really cool. Lots of pics of the old cars right through to the current car. Their is a countdown image for the 2008 car to coincide with its official release in a week. The livery, if you could call it that, is very unimaginitive and unimpressive. It just looks like something the showroom staff stuck across the car. I mean it is ok, just that one would expect more. Dunno why they didn't just stick with the original decals with some modification to it. Also, looking at the SWRT site, I noticed that driver names weren't displayed on the rear side windows until 1997. So there!

I quiet like it too, but not for a rally car, looks far too tame, which I suppose isnt surprising.
-
Oh no, I like it! He's finally seeing the light and will perhaps lead many to Newage salvation! HAHA!
-
Whose belongs to that white Buggie? Not Andy.F is it?
-
That's like the most shocking thing I have ever heard in all my entire life!
-
He's a man of few words that one. 6-speeder and that's it. Nothing about the car it came from, what it will and wont fit etc. £1250 isnt a bad price either is it? Looks minted too. I wonder if I should sell that lung after all... Good find
-
Is THAT a new livery too? Or is that just some PR stickers?
-
Seems like everyone is getting behind the wheel of this bad-boy! Jealous? Me? NEVER! Except all the times when I am!
