Have the trackstar as came with the car most inurers seem to ask for it. Still on the free year but going to get the lifetime subscription.
Had thought about an Anti-Jack system but is car jacking that common? I know there was an attempted one posted on here but is it not just the latest must have gadget from security firms. Most cars come with alarms and immobilisers, most expensive and performance cars come tracking systems, you aren't going to buy another device you already have so an Anti-Jack system is the next thing to sell you.
Cynical I know but locking your doors and being aware of you surrounding is probably one of the best defenses.
As for thefts the standard subaru alarm has a good feature on it called Super Lock. It immobilises the car cannot be opened by remote lock has to be unlocked by the key and as soon as the door is opened the alarm goes off until the PIN password is typed on the control pad.
Should be in holder for the warranty book. Also best to change the PIN from the default as usually on a silver sticker in a wee plastic bag in the holder.
Usually use this if on holiday or away for a few days.

Arch rolling can cause you paint to crack was advised of this when I was looking to get my Civic done. Instead the arches were ground back to the spot welds the bare metal edge was painted and then sealed with a bitumen strip (a bit like underseal).
Buchan Automotive (0141 647 4492) did mine over at Cambuslang.

Remember to disconnect the battery before unplugging the ECU. Don't want any sparks or power surges. Better safe than sorry.

I am with Elephant just now, charged me for insuring a courtesy car when mine was getting serviced. Was £860 inc business, renewal was £930 changing to KM on the 26th £500 and it covers the PPP and gauges.
Just phone and cancelled with Elephant was asked if they could requote to see if the could better the price.
Declared the mods, had to explain what the PPP consisted of.
New Price: £1560
and cost of modifications weren't covered under the policy.
I'm 35 with 6 yrs protected NCB so its not just young drivers getting humped.

Think you should mention that not all Impreza's come with turbo's [
]. Some of us started with 1.6, 2.0 and Sports.[
].
Hats off to Mr Squirrel he puts all of us to shame.

Great day, big thanks to Scott and Marty for organising it, Extreme Motorsport - top blokes and the EVO is something else and of course Rosie and Imy for making sure everyone was well supplied with tea, coffee and cakes. Seeing Higgy's car on the roller was an experience the noise was unbelievable and great figures.
My figures 329.1bhp @ 6713rpm and 310.2lbf.ft @ 4602rpm - more than happy.

Saw that on pistonheads last week and did think the spoiler was a bit OTT. And 13k for Type R?

That's the way! Get the petrol flowing in their vains as early as possible [

Faith is a bad influence, all I keep hearing was 'go faster Daddy'. Future petrolhead me thinks.[
]
Had a great day, wife and kids loved it. Glad to help out with the marshalling, as John said a few more helpers would have been good, as I was 3 hours before I manage on track[
], but then cause I was helping I got to queue-jump[
].
Nice to so many nice cars and meet lots of members and non-members.

Eaglesham garage is really good for parts and servicing, only reason I don't use them is they didn't give courtesy cars, think thats changed.

Does anyone have a picture of STI Genome gauges illuminated? Green dial Red needle. Was going for Red Smoked Defi's but have seen a set and would match the main cluster.
Know St3ph3n has a set but he's away just now.
