  1. No problems here, Just floor it in launch control mode and they soon realise there is no point racing
  2. STI top mount is good for at least 400 bhp and works more efficiently with the OEM undertray. The hyperflow is well chunky and you would struggle to fit an undertray. thus alot of the air would be forced down the back of it and not throught it. also a dumpvalve can be a tight fit, you need to chop bits from under the bonnet!! so stick with STI one
  3. not great around corners, but by heck it goes quick on the straight
  4. congrats grandad hope they are doing well
  5. 380 - 400bhp / lb.ft torque, i don't think so sti version 7, 8, 9 will take over 400 if looked after properly, plenty of peeps running near 450 bhp on standard internals the 6 speed gearbox will take over 500 bhp Regular oil changes with decent oil is important
  6. I have full 3" afterburner R system with Hayward & scott decat to 3" downpipe and it is plenty loud!!! http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/produ...roducts_id=1375
  7. not many people have managed to break a 6 speeder, they will take serious power, i have never seen any posts where a 6 speeder has failed I am sure it was the 5 speed PPG Andy F broke, steve whitson rebuilt it for him. unless someone will correct me

  16. i well avoid mcGashins, too expensive for fuel That's before you get robbed when u go into the shop with the weans, cost u a bloody fortune!!
  17. problem with newage's is when standardish they feel slow and handling is crap. add some coilovers, ARB's and droplinks = handling sorted add power including supporting mods (20g turbo) taking power to 380ish BHP = power sorted Jobs a goodin refinement plus added benefit of 6 speed bullitproof gearbox
  18. cough cough , my garret turbo from ECP lasted 14 months and 30k, then chucked it stuck a cheap second hand one in, well stevie did, and car was traded in 10 mins later!! ECP manager chap said it would have to be sent away for testing etc to establish how it failed, could'nt wait weeks for some techy guy to try and guess / establish how it was goosed
  19. you are looking at the best part of £400 for a recon one m8. don't go for a second hand one as they all give up the ghost about 80k / 90k miles!! As i learned iam sure there is a renault forum for the 3 renault enthusiasts out there which will confirm this. also you will find that your intercooler and pipework will be full of oil so make sure your appointed garage fully cleans it out or you will have serious problems once the new turbo is fitted. good luck
