Ill have another wee look at them. Their site didn't look too user friendly. -
Hi im trying to send an ej20 short block to someone in England. Trying a few places that i can think off on internet and looks to be costing anywhere from 65- over 100 from Parcel force. This seems a bit steep to me. Anyone else ever sent anything that size/weight by courier? Any recommendations? Cheers, Brian.

I got no fault codes when it was the fuel pump relay so wouldn't think it was that with you getting codes.
-
In case the problem comes back, i had the same thing and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay. Car would cut every few hundred miles or so and start again after about 10mins. First time i was like you and left car only to be surprised by it starting first time in the morning.

I think thats class! You?folk you know? or just a good find on youtube?
-
I was like you. My P1 needed 2 shocks but was quoted around 300 each so bought a full set of Teins instead for about 500. Adjustable height but not adjustable dampening. Once geo set the car handled alot better but they are quite a bit harder so depends on the roads.

As above looking to see if a standard pump from my p1 will fit a non turbo impreza 2.0 1996 sport? cheers

Wheel Vibrations Is This Wheel Alignment ?
jimmyGforce replied to mejamj's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Sounds weird but i get it at those speeds without braking. Went through about 4 sets of pads in 4 months. Was changing discs and pads but tried just pads and problems goes away until a few hard brakes from high speed. Strange. Got 30 pound pads on the now as fed up wasting money. Got recon calipers to go on now though. -

I get this all the time. Always thought it was warped discs but it was the pads wearing uneven due to the caliper hanving a tight/seized piston. So could be that also -
I'll invite Mavor and it will be a laugh! Anyway, i heading out to pub in 10 mins. Its been good hearing from you. Will look into the meet. See you later neeb

When is that? I dont know anyone though eh! No longer a paid up member too! lol

We cant get folk still . Sparks leave after one day. Some even after a tour! Will keep car for a bit now i think. No market to sell anyway and still love it. Gonna drive the girls car more to save the fuel. Got my dad roped in to buy me recon calipers for xmas so finally getting brakes sorted. Got a 10 year award at the work so thinking of some ds2500 for that! Hows yours doing? See its eating money too it seams?! See Penny's is resting for the winter??? You ever see Tam about? I'v not seen his car for about 6 months.

Hey! I know a couple of people know of my woes so have to say they're finally over. After 4or5 months since the big ends went car was mapped today for the new 2.5 block. Made 350bhp and 373lb/ft on Andy's laptop on standard P1 turbo. Feels great with the torque from the 2.5. Lets just hope for no bad luck! Cheers, Brian

Cheers man. Found it up behind dash. It was a bit of a back breaker but could squeeze in under steering wheel upside down with my head on the pedals and reach it :-)

Make me feel bad wi 10days to my 7??!! I'v been car shopping wi the girl. Wrote her car off last Friday. Everyone lucky to still be here!! I loved arguing wi a dealer today over the price when you know its not a car your really desperate for

What do you mean? Is the car running bad? A MAF failure wont cut the engine. I'm confused lol New insert for MAF about 95 pounds i think. From loads o places.
-
He said putting car off the road for the winter for suspension mods. I'll prob try a relay from Subaru so they will tell me but thought i'd ask. Bad time prob! Only shift folk up!
-
Its good to be back! Just before it die though the engine cut out once. Thought it must have been related to the big end failure as i'v never has a problem ever and 2 problems in 1day?? Car still cuts every so often though and wont start for a few mins. Tried a crank sensor as got one cheap. Only fault on ecu reader was crank but that would have come from last oil change at hypertech. Cleaned loads of connections and thinking about fuel relay now. Hows your car Paul? Penny said he loved the handling. He not used to a classic. He's got a heavyweight! He in the SIDC?
-
Hey. For those who know me the car is back online! Running in till remap on 3rd though. A problem still remains from before the big end destruction so looking for the fuel pump relay now.Crank sensor already tried (2nd hand) I heard it was in the boot? Cant see any panels. Also heard it was above fuse box/drivers side. Cant see anything. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Brian
