2014 is going to be the year I get the handling sorted on the scoob. Am looking forward to getting some whiteline goodies followed by a geometry set up so that track days will be a bit more fun as I will be able to go round the corners and not through them lol
I had been using the demon snow foam as it was going cheap in asda a while back but my supply was running low so I scoured eBay and found a bogof offer on 5L of snow foam from a company called the big shiner. I tried it on both cars today to give them a quick clean after all the bad weather this week and I am very impressed with the results.
What does everyone else use?
Well today involved replacing the clutch slave cylinder which as usual didn't go smoothly like all other mods on my car lol. The one we were replacing was worn which I was unaware of and I just thought the clutch pedal was meant to be that heavy. Well it was off with the intercooler then it hit us. The slave cylinder fitted had some sort of weird reservoir fitted to the side which made accessing the bolts to take it off impossible. So it was off with the starter motor. This made stuff way easier. New part fitted courtesy of badbaz and then bled and wow clutch pedal is so light now?. So now I need to figure out what to do to keep the muscles in my left leg built up lol.
I would like to thank scott(formerly scoobywho) for helping.

Chris, contact mr shanks and am sure he will welcome your enthusiasm?. I can't wait to attend the first gumball event ?
How's the sleepless nights and the dirty nappies? That's the ones on the baby not yours lol?
Chris
Surely there must be a member in the central lowland region that fancies having a shot at being an ro for the region?
I am always around to lend a hand where required. Don't think you are going to be left alone to fend for yourself.
Am getting there phil. Was at the physio yesterday for my back and he thinks he can get me driving faster by getting more movement in my legs so I can push the accelerator pedal harder lol
3 track days at kames and trip to the ring and four laps and the oil was black. Also had a bit of a petrol smell. We didn't fill the filter but seemed to be ok.
Like you I will be doing this more often
Well not actually the cars first oil change but the first one I have done without a garage doing it.
I did all the hard stuff like get the awkward plastic clips out the under tray and fill up with the good oil lol.
Oil was well overdue a change and car is running a bit better I feel.

I have given my reasons to Dave on why I have stood down. It wasn't an easy decision and would prefer not to make the reasons public. It is in no ones interest for the reasons to be made public. I am sure a better candidate than me will take up the challenge. As said in my post I will continue to be point of contact and help arrange meets etc until such times as a replacement can be found.
Chris
I have recently stood down as regional organiser for the Glasgow region and therefore there is a vacancy that needs filled.
If you think you will be able to help out and fill this position then please contact scooby222(Dave) to note your interest.
Until a replacement can be found I have agreed to continue to be the point of contact and will still try and organise monthly meets etc.
I have enjoyed the time I was in the position and I thank you all for your support and help during the time.
Chris
It may take Dave a wee while to get back to you on this phil due to ill health but am sure the banter will flow until the big reveal. I personally have never made this event but hopefully next year will be able to. You always need captain slow to bring up the rear lol
What a great trip.
Car did great although I really need to get it turning better and get rid of the oversteer. Just need to find out what is required lol.
Got into the main BMW stand and watched some people in r8's getting lessons.
