dougster Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Pity the dirt doesn't stick to Geo............[] He coats himself in the stuff he talks that much s***e [][]
colzo Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I tried the Meguiars 3 stage and thought it was too hard work for little protection. Now at the start of the year I clay the whole car with a Meguiars Clay Bar then polish with Swissol/Swissvax Cleaner Fluid then protect with Swissol/Swissvax Samurai Wax. After that I normally wax the car once a month. This method is easier and the protection is amazing I rarely get tar spots sticking its that good. The Swissol/Swissvax is more expensive but worth every penny, the results speak for themselves.

thewelsho Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Another thread that is sadly being wasted by the [|-)] brigade! grow up FFS John, hope you manage to get cuprinol off the car[:S] Yes. Got most if it off mate, just some tiny speckles left, the turps did the trick! Need to put all that wax and polish on again. That will be 5 days in a row my car has either been waxed, washed, polised, clay barred. And on some days, all of the above.
st3ph3n Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Ac!D, care to post some of the information I sent you on MSN? [] Geo just can't help trolling.................[8-)] Dougster - Wikipedia defines a troll as - "someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as an online discussion forum to bait users into responding." Your comments were deliberately aimed at getting a response from George therefore you are also guilty of being a troll. Congratulations.
dougster Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 So I get it in the neck again? Your 'congratulations' comment is unnecessary when you know it will get a response from me. Thanks for the definition, I never knew that.... Nice to see you're keeping your friends happy as usual Stephen......... any other response on the 'reported' post and who edited/deleted the thread?
drb5 Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Good old Duggy gettin in there. Thats what i like to see.[][]
st3ph3n Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Doug, I have no idea who I'm keeping happy. I just wish you and George would ignore each other. There was plenty of discussion as to your report. The original post was deleted you'll notice.
scoob fae ork Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Don't suppose anyone could tell me how i could get that swirl affect out of my paint it is a black car so it shows up a lot more dirt and i am guilty of polishing to much. The only polish i have found so far thats good is auto glym super deep shine that gets rid of the worst of the swirl but it soon come back and it looks horrible [:'(]. I suppose the only consolation is that you only see it when its sunny and we don't get a lot of that in Orkney.
iain01 Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I normaly spend a couple of hours washing the car and using autoglym super resin polish about once a month. Should I not use the polish as regular? Bought meguairs speed detailer recently and used it on my wifes car about 3 weeks ago and its still lookin great, used it on my car last week and well pleased with shine. Could you also recommend how to remove swirl marks?
dougster Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Guys check out the Polished Bliss site mentioned earlier. You could also join Detailing World for further information.

dougster Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Frank and Dave, you'll just get me into more trouble........[6][8-|][:#][] Iain, I wis splashin oan the Swissol when you wir still a bairn!
kevin_rhind Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 You should only polish your car 2-4 times a year max. spending a whole day on your car is worth the effort as it makes it easier to maintain. top up with wax as often as you like as it does not damage paint. I could ramble on for a while about detailing cars but not going to bore everyone. If you want your car done Iain is at top bloke and he'll give you a very good price. He knows what he's doing he did Craig Mac's car a month ago what a difference top job!
craig mac Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Frank and Dave, you'll just get me into more trouble........[6][8-|][:#][] Iain, I wis splashin oan the Swissol when you wir still a bairn! Aye all over his ambulance []
