zeolite Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Were they both "In the mood"? Or perhaps own a "String of pearls"? More likely is that they both liked standing in front of a bunch of guys blowing their instruments.
RS Grant Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 No idea.... both played in an Army Band?? Cheers, Grant
andy Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I went down the WWII Airfield route due to Elvington where Mr. F seems to regularly break records being an ex WWII base. Thinking along the lines of his final flight took off there, played last concert there etc. No connection found. The base he did take off from shut down in 1945 and is now farmland. No other WWII base connections found either. Good question though and I've managed to waste a good hour on it so far []

If no one has got it by my 2000th post I will give you a clue. If You make a wrong guess you could make a donation towards the Richard Burns Foundation by texting RBF to 82344. You will also be entered into a prize draw for a run in a WRC car. Callum W
