scouk Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Ok.. No saloon and no WRX for the UK! talk about cutting out one of your major customers!!! So it's either cheapo or full STi.. the WRX filled the gap nicely!! The news is just getting better and better.. [+o(]
craig mac Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Am well informed there is a lot less demand for the WRX compared to the Sti now. The Diesel models will fill the gap sort off[:|] one of which will be circa 180 horse. Its all about the demand, and afraid to say money, mula, loot[*-)]
4Hero Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I wonder if the 08 model will have less squeeks and rattles [^o)] Mine is 6 months old and is already driving me round the bend, I spend longer holding down rattly bits in the interior, than I do with my hands on the steering wheel. After 7 years of scooby ownership, this will be my last.
4Hero Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 to be honest mate, you shouldn't have to put up with that after spending a fare wad of cash on it. Not impressed with the interior build "quality" at all [:@]
stripe Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Really really really not impressed Subaru [] How much more do you appreciate the classic shape now!
gus the bus Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Quote How much more do you appreciate the classic shape now! A LOT![]
stripe Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I'm deffo sticking with the Classic, was thinking about a blob eye for a while, but this munter they are going to insult us with has made me realise just how good the classic is..........MON' THE CLASSICS!
RA Dunk Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Quote Quote How much more do you appreciate the classic shape now! A LOT![] AMEN to that GUS and STRIPE!! look after yer classics folks, looks like they were a one off by subaru cause they have made an ar$e of every thing since!

Been there done that went back to the classic and dont regret it one iota! IMHO its a better built/finished car.
jcscoob Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I think when it comes out and you start to see them in flesh, they will grow on you, just like the new age. Ps............ ......Mon the classics !!! []
scoobyiain Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Mon the newage. New cars always look pants to begin with but will always grow on you. Some people said the bug-eye was the ugliest car subaru made and i agreed but i liked it after a few months.

Classics, unless they have extensive exterior modifications, IMO are rather plain looking in my view. The Bugeye does have an ugly face, the blobeye is a huge improvment and the hawkeye... by far the best looking of the bunch! Classic Shmassic, I just don't see it, sorry and I would never drive one as my everyday car. I'll probably be hanged at the next meet for my damning condemnation of a truly-loved driving legacy, but as is stands, "Classic" is just another word for "old". [][]
scoobaroo Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I think the new car looks simply stunning [Y] Marty. [&] [au] []
wheelchairscooby Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Me think the uk cars will still look bad hope no but[]
jamesm Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Auto Express says that the new STI is unveiled in October at the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Tokyo motor show, so possibly a bit of a wait for that one yet. Still think that it might just be ok if it looks as the pics previously that have been about.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> It also implies that the WRX is going to be available here. Found myself looking at the pictures in the mag and thinking that with a decent set of wheels, body kit, and rear spoiler, it might just look passable........!! []

[:|][:|] how can you say that about the classic impreza, so far they have (and always will be) the pick of the bunch, aye like ya said you should maybe not go to a few meets in the near future for fear of being either hung, drawn or quartered, or all of them [][]

dipsy Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Nothing wrong with a classic .I had a my00 uk turbo for 5 half years from new .Don't like the look of the bugeye .Own a blobeye Jdm sti 05 which i like and have owned from November 2005 .I don't think i could go back to owning a classic no offence to classic owners and hawkeye is another good shape it would have to be a Jdm sti or spec c hawkeye for me

[]<?xml:namespace prefix = o /> [^o)] need some help mate? [] Well, it has been a long day! [:S] Whilst the saloon does look better, it is not so much the fact it is a hatchback that I don't like as there are lots of hatchbacks I do like, it is the fact it looks so bland, unimaginative and un-impreza like. If it drives, handles, performs etc like the Impreza we all know, and it is possible to tart it up a bit and make it look more aggressive and more Impreza like, then I will be interested so see, come 2 years, how many people end up buying one? Still not decided if Subaru have been very clever, or very stupid. Only time, and future sales, will tell. I am still sticking with my Bugeye which 5 years ago, I hated the look of, but now I have one, I love it! []
scouk Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Quote I am still sticking with my Bugeye which 5 years ago, I hated the look of, but now I have one, I love it! [] Heh me too.. Would have prefereed a late classic but the interior wasn't quite as nice for everday living as the new ages. And today the bugeye doesn't look so bad on the outside. Few bits of makeup and you dont notice the eyes so much [] Still prefer classic design.. After it it made the impreza what it is today. Can never forget that.
