Have any other classic owners noticed that the newage boys and girls seem somewhat reluctant to give a wee wave to us in our classics..???

Was out down at ardrossan today and passed a couple of hawkeye's. neither gave a wave, only a sideways glance towards my flagged hand..!!

Always thought it was nice to be courteous, never had anything but wee waves back from other classic owners......maybe its just my grimacing coupon...!!!

Also while im here........is the engine in the jap spec type r the same as in the british P1...???  only asking coz im thinking of 'upgrading' and have heard that there are a few probs with the P1's at aroung 60000 miles?  Or is that just chinese whispers...??

Hi, I'm a newage owner and always wave, I've had the problem in the opposite direction, think classic boys look a newages as not "proper" scoobies!!!

New to scooby ownership, so I've no axe to grind, just sayin it like I see it.

To some people, the scooby is JUST a car to get them from A to B, they are not believers.

I always wave regardless, now and again i find i dont get a wave back but 9 times out of ten i do.

Drive mine everyday for work, find your are less likely to get a wave Monday to Friday. More likely to wave to modified, big spoiler, well looked after or special editions both classic and newage.

At the weekend I wave to all.

Hopefully the non-beleivers will see the light. [;)]

i have an sti8 and went to garage yest to put water in my washer bottle and somebody was using the car wash 20 yards away, he had an sti8 also and just looked at me with a strange look. Was gonna go over and speak but not after the way he looked at me.

I wave to all subaru's, most of the time i get a wave back but sometimes they just give me a wierd look. maybe it's because they think "whats a young guy like that driving a car like that" i don't know

i hear what ya saying mate but i got a wave off a hawkeye the other day [Y] he made sure i could not mis him flashing lights and waveing [Y]. i wave or flash lights  most iff i see them..  thats iff i dont hit the window wipers insted off the light[;)][:P]

Hawkeye owner meself, and wave at all scoobs. I'd say 8/10 wave back (normally the 2/10 are old F.A.R.T.S)

I think I nearly qualify as an "old F.A.R.T" but I give a wave to all, I get a fair few confused looks back though!!

i wave to all scoobies and usually get a wave back if they are local ... cos i know most of them

big thumbs up to jac (cyp_rock) and passenger for the most enthusiastic wave I've had so far when we passed each other in Renfrew on Friday [:(]

I wave at all. Get about a 50% response, but I don't care. In today's "everybody for themselves" society I think it's pretty cool to swap the wave with a total stranger. Makes me smile anyway and hope it does likewise to them.

I wave @ every scoob. Mixed response tbh. The newage v classic thing is bollox cos I'll soon have to wave @ myself[;)] moan the classics[:(]

gus remember to put ya classic on the list when ya get it[;)][:o]

I wave to most, as long as I am paying attention and see them in time!! [:(] Probably about 50/50 between those who wave back and those who don't.

I did get a wave from the first one I passed the first time I had it out in Falkirk on the trade plates!!
