Me Scooby … Line of Scoobs Anyone spot St3ph3n ? Suspicious Buckfast coloured Mundano on the far right ! (with two flats - must have been the bucky) Suspicious Mundano requiring a push/pull start … helpful bunch that we are .. Never got the beast going though .. Innefective Brolly !
mctwistuk Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Some nice pics there but you should really blur out the number plates on the cars.
Alan-G Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Suppose so mate, but what if the Evening times had published pics of the cars as they said they would - doubt they would do that. PM me if you want any pics removed peeps. Have removed the obvious ones (except mine but it doesn't bother me) but the camera blur is kind of distinctive at messing up the rest of the number plates. [:$]
thewelsho Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Some nice pics there but you should really blur out the number plates on the cars. I have noticed that poeple get a bit touchcy about this and have never known why. I don't care. Explanation?
mctwistuk Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 I am not too sure myself but i think it has somehting to do with stealing of car identity. E.g. replica number plates on cars looking exactly the same. again i am not too sure but as you mentioned in previous threads this has been voiced. chris

mctwistuk Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Peter, as usual you save the day. This is becoming a regular thing now.
st3ph3n Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 "Cloning" of plates is why. OBviously some of our cars are quite distinctive. Welsho's graphics, my rare spoiler, Peter's front mount etc. etc. but you never know who's stolen what and fancies cloning the plates to get up to no good.
Alan-G Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Good point st3ph3n and Peter. However, without being negative here, how many car mags blank out number plates. The reason I say this is, that blanking out plates makes you look like your hiding something. That would get the potential theives up on their high horses and go looking for the particular car if they want to nick it. A somewhat challenge to make them think they are really high up in the Chav brigade if they actually found the car with the blank number plate. Their buddies would pat them on the back, burn it out, and send the pic to the mag that once pictured it. Again, I dont want to be perceived as negative here, but on a public forum or not, the public road can see my number plate litterally in public. so I don't see the point in hiding plates. Probably talking cack again guys, sorry. []
thefastone Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Did anyone see the bit in the Evening Times on the 11th, it was on page 3 I belive, I just looked it up online, but you have to pay like £2 to see the article and thats text only, without any pics, think I might have to see if i can get a back issue... MUST be cheaper than that... []

ally-b Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Anymore pics . We could do with more good pics for an article in True Grip magazine. Cheers , Ally
micra_wrc Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 thats the rest of mine - gave up taking pics when we got to Yorkhill [um] [st] edit - found some more Santa + nurses
nanaki Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 great the one photo you can see my car in and im getting more tinsel out the boot. typical good pics so far... must be more some where?
andy Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I can feel a wee andywrx photovid coming on to mark the sterling efforts of those involved in the various Santa Cruise events taking place. We've already got photos from the Glasgow one and the presentation the Aberdonian lads did. I'll be taking photos at the Central one and hopefully others will too.If I can get pics from the Lothian one then we're sorted and I can put something together. Our counterparts south of the border dropped the ball this year, but we've proved even thus far that no matter what they say about tight Scotsmen, the Scottish Scoobies are simply the best []
