WHITEUK Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 ive just found out my insurance is very dodgy [] just had to change my insurance after my gfriend was caught speeding, i have been paying a lot but new quote is a joke £5000 with £1200 excess. does anyone know any good (cheap [] )insurers for highly moded cars. J
Gumball Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 try elephant. I had my scoob insured with them and the mods were declared. I think i paid 700 a year. no more than that anyway. Remember to tell them your cheapest quote so far is,...................700 os something then the system tries to beat that price

J ouch how old are you? your car is 400bhp+ if i remember? He must be about 15 years old, and a 1000 bhp motor going by that quote - scandalous! Try Admiral after Elephant. They are teh same company, but when I switched a few years ago, Admiral beat Elephant - worth a go.
WHITEUK Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Im 25 but ive only 2 yrs no-claims[] Dont know how much bhp its never been tested[]
Gumball Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 was 27, 3 points, 1yrs ncb, 32yr old bird on it, no points
james666 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 try first quote, i paid under £600 for mine fully comp with 3 points.use moneysupermarket.com. 30 year old truck driver
Guest AlanK Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Im with APlan on a PPP classic - paying over 800 quid with a £500 excess (although the paperwork appears to only say it is 250) 27, 5yrs NCB and 'currently' clean license Hopefully it will be less on renewal after I have 'experience' of driving fast cars as that was the reason I got for it being so high coming from an Escort
WHITEUK Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Hope i can get as good. only prob is im in Norway so my Gfriend will have to sort it[:|]

nanaki Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Im insured through Elephant as well. £1200 fully comp and I got that quote when I was 21! 2 Years no claims bonus, clean licence. Now I feel robbed, I'm £1800 at 22 with 2 years no claims, pass plus and clean licence. I tried elephant as well. Wonder if its the area? Galston isn't exactly what you would call a NED free zone. Hence the moving to a nice area at the outskirts of Kilmarnock in January.
