gogsie Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Well it's been an eventfull week. Got home last Saturday in time for KH then oot for a curry at night, relaxed Sunday, Monday went in to work to hand in my paperwork, Tuesday drove to Chorley with the family and visited a mate, Wednesday on to Liverpool and did the Anfield tour "You'll Never Walk Alone - Alone - Alone", just missed the chance to hold the European league cup, the 5th one! which was out for cleaning. Just as I was finished looking round the museum got really bad pains in my abdomain. Wife drove me to Liverpool Royal where I spent 4 hours for them to tell me it was travellers s**ts. Wasn't convinced but the pain had gone so off we went. Drove to Stoke on trent and to Alton Towers. Crackin day no waiting to get on, just straight onto the rides, Nemesis was the danglis, what a speed. Friday back to Liverpool and finished the tour. then took the ferry cross the mersey, all together now "Ferry cross the Mersey". Then began the drive back up the road. Saturday - pain back, up to ARI to eventually find out I have Kidney stones, kept in overnight then out today. Ever had them? God there not funny, hurts like - well it hurts. OK now - just relaxing the night and probably all next week aswell. I will play on it so the wife leaves me alone.
z1000 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Kidney stones aint funny but the morphines good []
st3ph3n Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Gogsie, I've had them mate. Not funny AT ALL. When my brother was 8 he had basically a kidney full of them and had to have an operation and basically has half a kidney on whatever side it is. So it sort of runs in the family. I was lucky to pass mine, but I still suffered a week of pain whilst the bruising in the kidney settled down. Good luck to you [y] Drink PLENTY of water. Not just now, ALWAYS.
gogsie Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 Aye took 2 shots of Morphine to kill the pain. Then later no pain at all,.cool man cool.- peace. Aye doc said they are small enough that I should pass them OK. But need to go back for another scan / x-ray in 2 weeks. Got to drink at least 2 litres of water a day then more when I'm working abroad. Good advice to everyone, drink plenty water.
st3ph3n Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I was on the pain medicine up the jacksie. That's an experience to be forgotten. Clear urine = good urine. Stay healthy kids.

Hope drinking water etc will stop this happening again. Gogsie, I hate drinking water and I think I get them all the time due to being in the wheelchair and not being able to move around so much. Thankfully never really had much pain with them. They say Cranberry juice is good for someone with kidney stones. Dougie
