BEST PLACE TO GET FAST ROAD GEOMETRY SET UP DONE - CLOSE TO GLASGOW

Recommended Posts

My car got a fast road geometry set up by TSL motorsport by the previous owner a year or so ago. It must be out now as my front tyres are wearing unevenly (inner shoulders wearing excessively, probabl;y due to excessive negative camber?) I understand that they will wear in this way however I am sure a re-setting of the geometry would not go amiss (I have a print off of the settings by TSL.)

So where is the best place to go - I am in the south side of Glasgow. Someone recently mentioned AWD Motorsport?

Thanks in advance guys.

try hypertech bonnybridge.. 01324 812 212 perth is a bit far for you... unless you like driving of course

So I take it AWD is in Perth then. Not too bothered about travelling in terms of fuel costs - I have a shell company fuel card!!!

Mate AWD dont do the geo on the car, they send it out to another company who have not been getting good reviews.

unless they have changed any of there polcies of late

I would take it to hypertech least they are closer for you

Extreme Motorsport in whitburn were very good when mine was done. Cost about £140 which is not cheap but they spent a fair bit of time and the results were good.

Heard too many stories of places giving a nice pic of what your car is set to only to find out later that nothing was touched.

It took a while before it felt like the car was mine post adjustment, which is a clear indicator that the work was significant.

Extreme charge a ludicrous rate.... shocking.

There is only one place around here I'd recommend, value for money and an excellent job. ProGrip (also in Bonnybridge) 01324-810111 Around £50-60. If you are in any doubts about what is/isn't done then stand and watch.

That's a shocking price.

Greersport set my camber up then it's to Duskview garage to do the alignment(Greers spec) all for a total of............

wait for it......

£45...the car drives great with no issues that i can pick up on.Or else i don't know how to drive[;)]or how the car should handle...

If Colin Greer say that's good well that good enough for me.

Also if i don't need the cambers tweek then it's straight to Duskview for alignment only for £25...that's value for money.

All my mates use them for this and they are happy enough

£47 at Progrip and the guy takes you through what he is doing if your willing to stand around for a couple of hours[:P]

Top job!

Also, Duncan @ hypertech has the equipment now and he can do anything to my car[;)] I wouldnt have any problems with that. Not sure wot he charges tho.

Got mine done at Falkland Performance in Glenrothes.... best money I,ve ever spent. The guy there [Keven] use to race impreza,s but went back to cosssy,s. They dont just set it they ask how fast you drive n track days  you do so the car is set best for your drivin!

The two fastest Imprezas in Scotland( uk? ), for info check out the handling scores at TOTB V

One drives in a straight line (in a World record beating class of its own)

The other goes round bends and is set up at ProGrip, Go Figure !!!!!!!!!!!!! You decide [:)][:D]
