Dunlop Matadors

I had a tyre slashed a couple of weeks ago.

Finances did not allow the usual tyres I prefer!

I got Dunlop Matadors on the front now....had them a week and seem pretty good.  Very slight understeer in the wet, but not to bad.

I do not like the really expensive soft compound tyres as they do not last!  But always on the look out for some mid range tyres.  Anyone here ever had these..I had never heard of them!

People don't like spending big money on things that don't last but I am of the opinion that they are your only contact with the road and I always try and by the best tyres I can afford at the time. Would rather have the grip than a tyre that was very hard and lasted 30k but stuck like ice on a slidy thing.

Have to say, it was federals on my Scoob too & I found then to be a very good tyre. They have HUGE rim protection as well - no chance of any alloy damage [:)]
