Air Filter?

Hi I would appreciate some advice. At present I've an ITG Panel filter on my 1998 UK Turbo. I've heard that this can cause problems with the Air Flow Meter due to oil being sucked into the meter. What type of panel filter is safe to use? Thanks for the help.

K & N or Green Filters would be my first choice. I think as long as its cotton and not foam (ITG are foam yeah?)

Hi. I used to have a Green Cotton filter on my P1. It was a dry panel filter an was told it would be safe.

Now i dont care and have an APS CAI kit though. []

I have the k&n panel filter in my wrx and so far no probs yet

I had an ITG with the resonator out then onto a Hyperflow Induction Kit on a UK MY97 with zero MAF problems whatsoever.

I would agree a panel filter is the safest but don't see why you should change from ITG.

I've got a STI panel filter on my 99 classic, cracking filter with no oil to wreck the maf sensor.
