scoobykev Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 great day out, nice to meet up again. Brady (my son) especially liked Chrissy's cool hair cut!!, and the funny man with the funny name (not sure if he was laughing with you or at you) who kept swearing, Mr squirrell. note to self, don't ever give the bairn fizzy cola bottles again[6]

Gee Wr1 Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Brilliant day out & weather was great [] But boy did those midges bite in the evening!!! Only stopped by the stand end of day With a lovely welcome by Squirrel [+o(] [] Lol at the DEATH burger pmsl. Good to see you bud. Will have a look see what pics we have later, also video'd most of the action.
Robertio Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 It was indeed a great day out, which will hopefully ensure it comes back next year [H] Had a disaster personally with the RX-7, which ended with me damaging the engine during final practice and not making it out for time attack proper [:'(] If anyone has any picts on the car I'd be most greatful for a copy - can't afford to rebuild it yet again, so that was it's fairwell outing.
RA Dunk Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 arrgghhh if only you had posted earlier m8 , i just deleted a load of photos i probably would have had a pic of you there , it would have been a crap pic anyway as i only just kept the better ones of them try col666 he`s a photographer and was there as well
dougster Posted July 2, 2006 Author Posted July 2, 2006 I see you spotted the post on 22b Robbie. Sad to hear that mate.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I don't recall a single midge encounter [:^)]...........you must have been too near the skanks from Fast & Modified !
st3ph3n Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 It was just after you left Cal. When the twin drifting kicked off. The night was drawing in and the midges were hungry.
Guest Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 did it not get cancelled today ? known it in years gone by it being called off !!
col666 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Was held up for about 30mins, I was more worried about being hit by lightning[]
ally-b Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I'll bet Duffus was a bit slippery after Saturday's sideways action [] Al.
pmacFTO Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 http://pmacfto.smugmug.com/gallery/1622799 Here are my pics of the day. I know some are blurry but it was my first time doing panning to catch cars on the move - it's bloody hard! Scoobies looked good - guarded by TheSquirell of course
TIMEATTACKROB Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Guys Just a quickie to say thanks for your support for the D1GB/Time Attack, it sounds like you all had a great day and I hope that you enjoyed the on-track action as mch as I did in the driving seat of the Evo. I have made a big note in my mental diary NEVER to wear shorts in Scotland in the evening ever again, Im sure your b'stid midgys travelled home with me for all 12 hours of the journey back down south! If you fancy venturing down south for the next round of the championship we can reserve a club area for you all..contact claire@d1gb.co.uk Once again, impressed with the turn out & thanks Rob
st3ph3n Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Rob, thank you for bringing your excellent serieseseses north of the border. I'm sure WHEN you bring it back there will be even bigger crowds because I imagine there's plenty of people who are very jealous that they weren't there this time round. Congratulations again on organising an excellent day.
TIMEATTACKROB Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Glad we came, the crowds were fantastic and they way they interacted with the on track action was brilliant. Every single vid clip I have seen has the crowd clapping and cheering! Hope to see you all again soon Rob
duncan_stephen Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Was a great day and the perfect run for my first day of scooby ownership. Has a quick look around the scoobs on the SIDC stand but didn't actually speak to any of you. Well, except for Cal, who I know from his TRS days. Was a nice set of motors and I see one or two were at the RR day at Ellon before heading to KH. Will come and introduce myself next time.
