stephen_fergus Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Has anyone else spotted the new SPECS that have cropped up on the M8?? .. YES THE M8!! ..AND the M77! On the M8 have spotted them at J22,23&24 W bound but think they're E bound too plus at Tradeston/E.K turn-off as well ..M77 at the new Pollok junction and Paisley one I think. [:@] Watch out everyone.. Plod is watching .[:|] Steve
thewelsho Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Look there. It says they are temporary due to road works. Maybe they will be removed when the work is complete.
st3ph3n Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Welsho, that's a negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.
thewelsho Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 BTW, I am assuming that a locked topic means that it can no longer be added to, is that correct? If that is so, then why would the topic in the "Scottish language" be locked? LOL - Stephen!
RA Dunk Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 BTW, I am assuming that a locked topic means that it can no longer be added to, thats a big ten four big buddy!![] If that is so, then why would the topic in the "Scottish language" be locked? dunno dude maybe phil was trying to decipher or translate what rab typed and lost the plot lol [] or maybe he`s just realised his team are gash and will be heading home tomorrow and lost the plot , so he closed one of our threads in revenge for what might be comming if they loose! [][]
mctwistuk Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 are the ones on the m8 in operation yet as there are no signs to advise you of them? Are they not for when the oradworks start later on?
thewelsho Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Just drove past a couple of these cameras. The ones I went past were on bends and near, if not, inside bushes! So careful. Also, my Road Angel did not pick them up, I guess they are still not operational. On my way to get fitted with new gold boots!
st3ph3n Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Youll need to update the road angel before it picks them up.
thewelsho Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Youll need to update the road angel before it picks them up. I did, right before I left.
paul_honthy Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Had the SPEC camera's down the Ayrshire neck of the woods for some time.It has made the road a complete nitghmare as all the safe places to overtake have the camera's on them. The road is the main route for trucks to get to the ferry in Stranraer and as you'll know they can't go over 40 mph on single carraige-way which makes the traveling speed painfully slow. I now just stick to the back roads, buts its a killer if you have coilovers fitted.
RA Dunk Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 .It has made the road a complete nitghmare as all the safe places to overtake have the camera's on them. wheres the effing logic in that ??putting safety cameras in safe places forcing drivers to overtake in unsafe places , to reduce accidents my ar se more chance of catching some poor cnut speeding more like
scoobymark Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Seen these cameras this afternoon, was stuck behind cars doing 40 - 50mph in the outside lane going west bound towards paisley and was getting angry until i spotted the cameras. Then to make matters worst the feckin road to inchinnan business park was closed[:@] and i never noticed until i was right on the roundabout and had to go a detour through paisley and airport, added another 15 mins to my journey[8o|]
