andy Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Guys, Any idea where I can get a Trinidad & Tobago top? I've got a meeting in Reading next Thursday/Friday and we're knocking off early Thursday and going to the pub so my colleagues from south of the border can cheer on Engerland. A T&T top is a must [] Edinburgh/Glasgow or Central belt preferred.
Gumball Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Great Britain- Scotland, England, Wales and Northern ireland Trinidad & Tobago- Somewhere 3 miles south east of sh@t island Get a grip playdo face
Gumball Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 CORRECT although we certainly dont play as trinidad and tobago. If your next door neighbour was going for an interview would you want the other guy you didnt know to get the job?
andy Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 If your next door neighbour was going for an interview would you want the other guy you didnt know to get the job? Yes. My next door neighbour lets his cat s**t in my garden.
Gumball Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 []lol Its a fascinating mindset that 50%+ of us seem to nurture. That being the mindset that creates a warmth inside (i presume) as we stand and gloat when England conceed a goal or get beaten, as we stand next to our friends who are equally ellusioned by the "theres the sheperd, lets follow him" romantic notion. Following ANY team that are playing the English. If only they thought the same way.............. which they dont currently.[]
st3ph3n Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Do the french and germans support each other? Nope. Why should I support England?
the squiggle Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Well if my next door neighbour cleared out all the occupants from the back garden and claiming the land as his own, raped and pilaged my wife and daughter for fun, used my house for taxation testing before doing it on himself, dumping all his shat on my side of the fence, taking all the money earned from a wee hole in my pond spewing out some black slippy stuff, kept his nuclear armanents in my potting shed, then yes i would be hoping the guy i did not know got the job I will be backing the other guys that like to sit and the sun with thier unique brand of John Player Special's and those blonde hair dudes with a fondness for meatballs STAND UP IF U HATE ENGLAND STAND UP IF U HATE ENGLAND Andy i think Grieve Sports in Glasgow do the Sweden and Trinidad
neilswrx Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 great britain scotland england wales united kingdom scotland england wales & n ireland here we go with the should scots support england why is it we are the only country where the pc advise us to support our neighbour, norway wont support sweden, doubtfull if france would support germany or spain support portugal etc.a bit of light humour is ok in my book but some schools have been warned up here any anti english comments would be taken as racist leading to the kids being excluded from school .a wee bit of banter is ok thats as far as it should go. do we need a new thread with votes/opinions?
st3ph3n Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 There's a difference between not supporting England and actively supporting teams that are playing against them.
the squiggle Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Thats a very bigoted view my foaming friend.[] Just taking your analargy a bit further and if my neighbour had treated my family a bit better through the years then maybe i would not hate them as much as i do but they did and i do I simply dont like England and all it stands for Oh and the TV commentators take the biscuit Proud to be a bigoted waste of space
david_taylor Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I have no problem with the Engerland team and if they won the thing. Its the feckin english media I cant stand! By the way.....we have plasma screens all over the office that play sky news all day...w.as there nothing else going on in the world this week except Mr Rooneys foot???
Gumball Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 NO Although saying that there was an earthquake in applecross today. It measured 3.3 or some plop on the richtor scale. The village celebrated by drinking a whole bottle of wine between them Argyle council are also potentially getting tit face (joke McConnells) special team into investigate them. I stole something out of homebase. Todays news ends

I'M STANDING!!!!!
col666 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 According to the media England have won this years World cup already. Daft blonde tart on GMTV this morning calling Scots miserable cants, low self esteem! had a guy walking round weedgieville with his face painted with the george cross looking for England fans, brave boy! I dont have any problem with the english team themselves, the press put them under so much pressure before these events that they have no chance of winning feck all....which is fine by me[] Col, a proud member of the EBE ( everybody but england!)
andy Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 I don't hate the English - far from it. I hate the media hype. Besides, the lads I work with fully EXPECT me to turn up in the T&T top []
