craig mac Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Folks Fed up with the Purr of the Prodrive box, Did not like the slash cut afterburner, or the other 2 i have had on the car since August last year....... So open to suggestions, no straught cut, rolled out or massive 5" tail pipes. What would you all suggest? Just really want to hear that roar, It has lessoned since the whole car was dyno matted, floor the lot. Scoobysport? H&S ? open to suggestions, best fitting etc. Craig Oh for an 05 STI 9 Buy the way
gus the bus Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 TSL Group N 4" is meant to be the one! ...and doesnt look out of place[] although I dont have one[]
st3ph3n Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I do enjoy my H+S Jap Slash, but it's quite a sizeable thing. Blitz Nur spec perhaps?
WUZ Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I know of someone who has a spare Blitz Nur Spec backbox (2 1/2" flange) that will mate STRAIGHT ONTO your car. You might know him[] Russell
stephen_cheyne Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Definately Blitz Nur Spec. I've just changed my Prodrive for the Blitz and my STi burbles away now with just the backbox fitted it's not the Spec R system. Looks and sounds the doggies! [] Stephen.
road warrior Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Another vote for the Blitz, nice sound without being overly loud
fai17 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 My system suits me just fine... Quiet at idle but screams pop bangs when i'm giving it some.......Meercat btw with Gruppe S Headers. Headers quiets your system down at idle.Superbike sound for defo..... I could video it but don't know how to post the clips to show you.[:S]
TSL 333 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I liked my old Scoobysport - relatively 'normal' looking, non offensive to the neighbours, nice on WOT. It did stick out a bit at the back though. The origional afterburner - non side exit one, was too noisy Hate to sound like a killjoy, but I even think my current Group N TSL is on the noisy side on tickover in the mornings for the neighbours, it does however sound simply amazing when on WOT Personal choice!!!
ed-209 Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 I could be talked into swapping a Blitz for a Prodrive (not wr sport). See this post http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/2/583660/S...ost.aspx#583660 Ed
mctwistuk Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 i've got the ninja backbox from scoobyworld. sounds amazing. just waiting on the ninja cebtre section and the afterburner decat pipe now. will try post some pics if yopu think it might be for you.
=Robbo= Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I've got a Hayward and Scott http://www.haywardandscott.com/Details.asp...152&category=13 Which I had modified by CC Stainless so that it sits right up against the bumper so you dont see the backbox just the tailpipe. Sounds perfect and looks better than anything on the road. Yours for £100 Quid. Cost me nearly £300 in total including mod. Robbo.
