I went to see it with a m8 late last summer as he was thinking of parting his evo 6 against it, but the salesman didnt seem to have any answers to the questions we asked[*-)] nor could he show us the advertised service history, or where the £3500 worth of ice was, as all we could see was an alpine headunit and 6 disc changer.

Gleaming example of a subaru. If i owned that car i wouldnt sit behind anyone, drive it too fast or mod it in anyway.

22B in my opinion is the nicest, best car that subaru ever produced

even better than the STI8 uk[:o]

Looks good, but couldn't justify the money I think.

I have to agree with you on this one st3ph3n - it is a lovely looking machine but you can pretty much get a new STi9 or 10 for that money.

the pair of you obviously do not appreciate what the 22B is.

In my eyes it will always be the best looking, most iconic Impreza going.......no matter what they bring out in years to come!!!

As for the money???........16 officially imported to the UK and a limited build of cars worldwide. You are buying a legend and i for one think it is worth every penny.

No other Impreza even touches this one, not even the other limited edition models.

I also looked at that car before buying my 22B. This car is not mint, in fact it's far from it. Paintwork was very poor and had lots of scratches and scuff marks. It drove like a complete pig as well.

I totally agree with every word Des said:  salesman knew very little about 22B's (which he admitted to be fair),the service history was 'unavailable' , and the 3.5k stereo seemed a somewhat optimistic valuation. In short, I didn't like anything about it at all and was not the type of 22B I was looking for.

Regarding the comments on the huge purchase price of 22B's, I too had the dilemma of whether to spend well over 20k on a 6yr old car with no warranty etc, etc, or whether to be 'sensible' and buy a brand new STI with full warranty that no one has ever thrashed around.(could've got one for £18750). In the end ,for me, it was no contest, as I have always lusted after the 22B's  stunning looks and enjoy the individuality that comes with owning a fantastic piece of motoring history.

Perhaps as someone who has only known about the 22B for a short period of time, who indeed has only been a scooby owner for 16 months, it has less of a hold on me. I understand how rare the UK models are, and indeed the imports and why it is more sought after than any other model. But I just couldn't justify that money I'm afraid.

Would they take my left testicle as payment? Coz i would have that, oh yes.

But it would be a waste, coz i'd have to put it in a garage and never drive it incase i got it dirty or stone-chipped it.

Then again, could someone tell me wat would loss more money 05 STI or 99 (T) 22B over the years??????

i would hazard a guess at the 05 sti losing more money than the 22b

22B everytime! Ther the ultimate impreza! If i had the money, i wouldnt even look at a newage STi, it would be 22B everytime! Its an iconic car! 2 me its like the Escort Cosworth, i wud love to own either of them. Plenty of cars turn heads, but u know when 1 of these passes u!

Totally agree with Dan Terzo,i've had scoobs for 9 yrs and this model still makes me lick my lips, its a subaru icon, probably the nearest looking to a real rally car subaru have produced, just look at those arches[:o],the 22B will always be in the history books up there with the Quattro's,Integrale,6R4 and the Escort Cosworth, pure Rally pedigree and you really have to see a quality example in the flesh to really appreciate it.
