dont know where your getting this horizontal bar thing from,to set the record straight,ALL uk classic non rb5 cars have rear seats that drop, therefore dont have any bars,rb5 has welded in diagonals and a solid welded in metal fixed parcel shelf between the 2 'c' pillars!identical to that of a p1(perhaps p1 sub your shell is 1 of these non sti 2 door coups LOL)hence the fact your p1 is so quick, weight saving and all that!how did you manage to fabricate the technical spec on that rb5 link so that it clearly reads SOLID REAR BULKHEAD,and the same for the p1,could it be anything to do with the FACT that both the rb5 & the p1 are based on sti shells!next i'll be getting advised that in fact p1's came into the country as 4 doors and some lunatic within prodrive decided to convert all 1000 of them to 2 doors, next i'll be told that there wasn't a white p1!LOL

am ending maself here

I was actually gonna let this one lie, as i thought we'd ran out of puff there, but you've just said something else there which is not true. Not all UK turbo scoob's have rear seat's that drop down. Why wouldn't RB5's have that, if every other one does?

This next question, is purely curiosity. If the P1 is the same as the STi version 5 Type-R, then it SHOULD have this solid rear bulkhead, but i don't remember ANYONE mentioning, going out of there way to say it has one, it has the solid rear bulkhead? Is it even WORTH mentioning? I'll bet if you ask the guy on Ebay, what and where it is and if he could provide a pic of it, he'll say "I dunno". Not because he's thick, but the bit's of metal i now think you mean, are not only fitted to version 5 scoobs. Again, me old RA had these trianglular parts, welded into each side of the bulkhead, just forward of where the rear speakers would sit.

I will say one thing, i'm not entirely sure if the rest of the UK scoobs got it or not, but i know for sure, the jap car's had this solid rear bulkhead. Just waiting to be PROVEN wrong. [:D]

I was actually going to edit the last post, but this should rectify previous post's also.

It's supposed to be a shell from a Version 6 STi. This is obviously a newer car and i'm wondering, why the RB5 never got the STi6 front lip??

why did the p1 come in as an import and have a lip spoiler fitted,i thought it was christmas, theres that many turkeys on here!

i think i better email international motors with your findings as obviously they are misrepresenting the product they sell so well,(original brochure spec of the rb5 and p1)

i didnt know that fuji heavy industries had a factory in Balloch!

Its not a case of "if" the P1 is the same as the STI V5 -type R. The P1 starts life as a V5 STI, a 1000 STI V5 Type Rs were sent to Prodrive then prodrive worked on them to produce the P1

lol Dougster, wondered how long it would take you to come out the wood work,

This is only a sugestion but instead of putting up big zzzzz, why dont you try and get scotish scoobies sorted out, if you think there is not a problem then you are wrong.

My addd on to the post is a bit of light hearted humour to try and defuse this situation that has arisen.

There is an almost bullying type scenario in scottish scoobies, well I wont be bullyed out like so many recently, have you not noticed the drop in regular users?

What wood work? If you read this thread I have also posted on it. (Gav I know the paint code but I thought there was a slight difference in colours)

Sort out the problem..........

The users wanted LESS moderation. I can't control what people post but I can certianly edit out the rubbish if that's what people want.

I also posted some light hearted pictures to ease a little tension on this 'interesting' thread and look what happened.

The zzzzzzzzz smilie just reiterates how TIRED I and many other users are of some of the posts on here.

PS I know sod all about bulkheads as have only owned a wagon.

Thanks for your response Dougster.

You have answered the best you can, Id say just read between the lines m8.

The question to ask is why are people leaving or not posting, Im sure there are pleanty of people on here who could create some very intersting topics, but somthing is holding them back from posting!

Apologies if My views seem rather strong, its just how I see it.

Scottish Scoobies is what the majority wanted when Scoobynet became over moderated.

SIDC provided this opportunity and offered Scottish Scoobies the sections people asked for.

Now people want more. What can we do?

If they choose to move somewhere else (different or new forums) again nothing myself, or the moderating team can do instantly. I only moderate but any suggestions to the committee please. Also if you, or you feel anyone else is being bullied or a thread contains inappropriate content you can use the 'reporting' function which this software offers.

I can't believe that the car that kicked this thread off is the car that I have just bought...... amazing.

As for the bulkhead issue, I have to agree with Gav on that one - he's correct.

My first post on here and what a belter of a thread to read first...... mmm
