ed-209
While I totally agree in principle with Grant. The law which deals with pricing of goods only says advertised prices are "an invite to treat" only the price actually attached to goods are legally binding for example on a web site is says a car is £3000 and when you buy it the price on the car is £3500 then £3500 is the price you have to pay. on the other hand if the car says on it £2500 that is all you have to pay not the invite to treat price. also most web sites usally say O&E accepted in the terms of contract. Most bigger companies will swallow their pride and give you the goods at the lower price. but smaller companies will not. Hope that is not to much bad news mate. Ed. PS. Hows the mouth grant. hope you fell better soon. Link to comment

dougster
Thanks John. I think this thread should be left to Grant and Flat 4 Online to sort out now. Link to comment
Windows
"As usual there are bad and good stories about most companies and I can see why the Squirrel is upset but I’m sure he can understand mistakes happen."<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Exactly how I and most other people would see it is well, I can understand Grants reasons for wanting it at that price, that’s very clear but it was a simple mistake in the price and I have been honest with Grant and told him so. Threatening companies because you are a member of SIDC and Scoobynet will not do the clubs image any good imho, i'm quite sure none of the owners or moderators approve this type of behaviour though. Jamie Dougster John Paul thank you for your support, yes I thought SIDC would be a good place to invest in too since I know a lot of SIDC members buy from my website (thank you) I have been planning to contact Phil next week for a long time because I have 50 front mount intercoolers arriving on Monday for the classic Impreza and would have liked to offer some of them to SIDC. If I am being advised it would be a good investment then I will speak to Phil again, can I assume there will be no more problems then with certain members; I can still see slander in this thread by drb5. "When you tried once again to defend yourself, something which you always do and I presume, will always do, because you’re SO SCARED of losing 1 or 2 customers." "I see the odd person with the odd problem with other companies, but I’ve still to see them bothering about it and coming on to defend themselves, but you??! Do you feel threatened by one or two bad posts? I'm merely informing peeps of past threads I’ve read." There you go again with the slander drb5, is this a bad post? No. A customer is asking for some advice on product he purchased. What I am doing here is taking the time to communicate to that customer, this is not an attempt to keep or loose any customers, it's called communication, so the customer will have a better idea of what’s going on rather than be left thinking differently, no one is on the defensive here, more like to correct you on a few points, other companies run their business the way they want to, if they have poor after sales service that is up to them, if no one has told them about the problem then how can they reply, I’m quite sure most companies would like the opportunity to put straight any customers queries concerns or problems. "Do you trawl all the forums, look for potential problems with buying from flat4online?" I only come on the forums when a customer tells me about the thread otherwise I would have no idea they existed, if a customer tells me, then I don’t bother replying or doing anything, how’s the customer going to feel? Most of your comments drb5 are malicious gossip and personal attacks which need attended to. Link to comment
drb5
Lol at malicious gossip!!! Do i once again need to dig up old threads Scoty? I thought the common decent thing, was emails to defend yourself and not posts on forums? I figured that would be the first thing to do, with any problems Grant has with Flat4online/yourself? I'm merely putting people in the know. Bit like a newspaper. People deserve to know the truth. And i think i've done the right thing tbh. As that's a couple people that have now admitted that communications with yourself is poor and items CAN take time to be delivered. That wouldn't bother me, if i hadn't heard/read it so many times.
