the squiggle Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Sorry about the quality of our poor roads. Us yokels have developed a keen eye for avoiding the dreaded things Send a claim into the local roads dept for a pair of new tyres Welcome to Scotland and please tip the attendent on the way out. Grant
dave_morgan Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Yeah, I've lost 2 tyres in the last year to potholes as well. Probably my own fault for running 19's mind you!! Might be worth puting a claim in - they won't pay anything unless it's already been reported, but apparently if your persistant enough, they will pay out eventually. Dave
2559B Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The roads up here in the central area are a mess !!! If at all possible .......... get some pictures of the holes & send a letter/e-mail to the appropriate council department. Thet should stump up the bill for any damage ........ but they can be stubborn buggers !!! So don't take NO for an answer !!!
ormiboy Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 nasty one, i know how you feel had to shell out for four new wheels last month, three fecked alloys that could not hold air were costing me a fortune. a new set was the only way to go.
rossyboy1 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I have driven in this country for 12 years and covered about 100,000 miles. I have never had a puncture. Just hope I haven't tempted fate
