sharon_mccall Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Just got a whopping 243 miles out of my tank of fuel. Incredible! Very happy with that
scoobyseller555 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 thats amazing a whole 22.09 miles 2 the gallon...well done
colinj Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Thats pretty bad...for a sport is it not!!? I get about 200 to a full tank!
Fee Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I have no idea what I get ....it always seems to go down quicker when adam's driving though
RA Dunk Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 havent got a clue wot i get i just top it up when it needs it
weeb Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 a get 200 ish oot a tank!! sharon u should get nearly double what turbos get! maybe need to put ur right foot on a diet, obviously its too heavy!!
zeolite Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Maybe you should take the handbrake off as well. It shouldn't be that bad even if you are caning it. When was it last checked out?
Gumball Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 i just got 237 in the go go machine and that was caning it a good bit during the week. try letting the gears change before you hear that rev limiter kick in and bounce at 7800rpm
RS Grant Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I cant believe the economy you're getting in that Sport..... Not too sure what D4WGY is getting in his to be honest. But I suppose 130bhp pulling round an Impreza with heavy 4WD etc.. its never going to be the most economical car around!! Cheers, Grant
ScoobyAndy Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Sharon just sell it and buy the ignis... just as quick and better on fuel.. And had one careful owner
fai17 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 << Sharon just sell it and buy the ignis... just as quick and better on fuel.. And had one careful owner >> How much m8???
UK300_Impreza Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I get 250 - 260 to a full tank before the wee orange light comes on
imprezapete Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Hmm I usually manage about 295-300 to a tank. When I'm in gumball mode I have done about 140miles to a tank
UK300_Impreza Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 are you running optimax atol to get 295 - 300
sharon_mccall Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 << 295 to 300 a tank ffs how do you manage that >> cos him n pete drive like big poofters..lol
imprezapete Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Yeah thats running Optimax all the time. I recon I get about 265 to 95 Ron fuel I think. Cant tell you how long ago that was as its been a long time since I haven't run on Optimax. Fuel Figures Optimax 91.9p x 50 litres = £45.95 295 / 11 gallons = 26.81mpg 1 gallon = £4.18 Unleaded 85.9p x 50 litres = £42.95 265 / 11 gallons = 24.09mpg 1 gallon = £3.90 That means the 30 miles difference is 1.245 gallons difference (Unleaded MPG) which is £4.86 on top of the cost of a tank of unleaded full (£42.95) which comes to £47.81 So to recap it means that it would cost me £47.81 to do the same mileage as my tank of optimax which cost me £45.95.
ScoobyAndy Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 << << 295 to 300 a tank ffs how do you manage that >> cos him n pete drive like big poofters..lol >> Simple he drives like a fekin nun Then i get in the car n he drives like a drunken nun!!!! Pete u wanting driving lessons??
sharon_mccall Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 Cheers peeps for comments/replies. Weeb - my whole body is on a diet m8, might help!! zeolite - have never had the car checked out Gumball - i don't always hit the rev limiter I think D4WGY gets around the same kinda mileage in his sport ScoobyAndy - no ta - i love ruby way too much to part with her (Oh and i dont like wee cars) As i said i am pleased with this new record and am going to try and improve that over the next few days!!
colinj Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Well I get similar fuel economy & im running twice as much power!! Doesn?t sound right to me....u sure someone isnt siphoning your tank
imprezapete Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Sharon you using Optimax or Unleaded only?

imprezapete Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I just wonder if you get any difference with normal unleaded than Optimax.
