dave_morgan Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 p.s. Skyline would definitely be the best option if you mix that into the equation too.... just so happens I know of one for sale if you've got the balls ??
p1ggm Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 i have been thinking about one for a while, and now seriously thinking of trading down for big power
Gumball Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 i probably couldnt control a skyline from what i have seen of them. i would spend the whole time trying to keep it straight
p1ggm Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 what skyline do you have kartman?, is there anything to look out for with them
G.T. Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 my mrs seen the new sti in braehead on thursday night and commented on how smart it was
RS Grant Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Its always been very close....... and until the new 2.5 STi's came along with the new design, I would have gone for the Evo everytime. But I'd have a Black JDM STi Spec C thankyouplease. Cheers, Grant
Johnny50 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 << what skyline do you have kartman?, is there anything to look out for with them >> Just buy Daves...experienced it many a time...and it's a beast..
fai17 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 A JDM Spec C for me next time round to changing my car thank you very much.
fai17 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 << my mrs seen the new sti in braehead on thursday night and commented on how smart it was >> I spoke to GAV the salesman and sat in that motor.Well smart but JDM for me
Croc Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 last time I checked through the DVLA web site, I saw a plate for sale (cheapish too) that was EVO5HAT I bottled it though, cause I figure it would be taken badly by any number of people, and probably end up getting keyed by an Evo driver personally I like them both - but there's no accounting for taste is there? p
Russs Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Much easier to get a genuine 400bhp from an Evo IX
RS Grant Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 << JDM for me >> You sure you can live without the headlight washers you get on the UK STi's mate??! Cheers, Grant
jimmymc Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 having owned and driven both its plain and simple , the evo is the one that mekes me smile the most . as for a spec c beating an evo 9 in squirrels dvd its hardly a fair comparison unless the evo was an rs version which is more like the spec c. which imho would hav wiped the floor with a spec c still rather have a 5/6 than 7-9. 6 rs II for me shortly. cheers jimmymc
Gumball Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Jimmy I wasnt supposed to be posting again this year but............are you the guy at KH that drifts round the hairpin every single time????????/
jimmymc Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 it has been known! it could also be rog, tho he is usually pretty tidy round k/hill. wait till next year when i try out my new lsd. done away with the ayc should be a load easier to drift!
Gumball Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 either or mate i think its your car !! its awesome and i was wishing i could do it last night.
fai17 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 << << JDM for me >> You sure you can live without the headlight washers you get on the UK STi's mate??! Cheers, Grant >> Headlight washers are for poofs m8
RS Grant Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Are you crazy!? Surely the ability to blow a mist of water all over your bodywork is too much of a temptation to ignore?! Cheers, Grant
fai17 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Well i suppose you can turn the washers round and spray them at the FMIC
RS Grant Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Haha, aye.... See, I knew there was a reason why you'd need them Peter!! Cheers, Grant
billyboy Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Given the build quality of my scoob.the rear screen has started to rattle again. I was thinking about an evo.I should have bought one of them. Billy
