Mass
As per title, I was outside cleaning my car and this bloke asked me if I knew anyone who was after a WRX Type RA, I said not personally but I'm sure there is somebody, so I went and had a look. It's not an RA as far as I can see but I was just wondering what it was. He want's around £5,500 for it. I now it should be in the for sale/wanted but just wondered what it was before posting. cheers peeps Link to comment
Fatmanscooby
Didnt think the Ra had the rear wiper i could be wrong. The Ras didnt have lower sills and that one doesnt appear to have them either. Not sure what it is. Thought they were either white or blue as well. Electric windows hmm Steves Ra has winders. muddy
Agree with Simon, Ra's don't come with sills.. But it's a weird one -- It's a MY93/MY94/MY95 car...it has the very early slanty intercooler to suggest this.. It has ABS and aircon not something I would associate with an RA.. (But then again some do come with them as standard) It has a MY95 WRX interior...(I know they made pucca Sti's by this time) The rear wiper would suggest it's a JDM import whether it's a standard WRX or RA.. Or could it be one of the very first WRX Ra's 1993 that didn't have the red inlet manifold and basically looked liked a bog standard WRX.. Confused now Best bet is to check out the Applied Model code. Link to comment
Mass
The bloke said that he removed the sills, but thanks alot guys. do you reckon that £5,500 is a bit steep though? It's definately a strange one! Link to comment
warby
Lee dont buy that mate get an STI8. Link to comment
Mass
Oh don't worry m8 I'm not buying it, just wanted to know what it was. Link to comment
bobsru
no fifth injector, no roof vent, electric mirrors Or could it be one of the very first WRX Ra's 1993 that didn't have the red inlet manifold they didnt introduce the red manifolds till 96/97 Link to comment
gennaro_scoglio
strange that one........ when did that show up?? Link to comment
Orbit
Can't be 100% but the engine layout and the outside of the car looks just like my 94 WRX Import ,except for the sills.and boot lid Link to comment
Highlander68000
It is a WRX in my opinion. Electric windows, ABS, Air con, rear wiper = WRX and not RA The early RAs had the fith injector on an unpainted manifold (although maybe not original manifold/engine) £5,500 - lmao! Link to comment

insane clown
is it me or can you only see 110 mph on the clock!!! and it has facelift centre consul doesn't it? (radio bit) Link to comment
Mica Peg
The engine layout looks identical to my MY95 wrx and everything else on the car points to it being a wrx but the clocks are very confusing as Mark says they only show 110, would of thought if it was an import wrx it would show 180 Link to comment
Dalthegooner
Looks like a ringer to me!!!!!!!!!!!! The year on the numberplate (T) don't match up with the model of motor. Link to comment
colinj
RAC check brings up non specified make or model for that registration mark Vehicle data search Results for T206 GNM Vehicle details : Manufacturer - ???? Model - ???? Body type - SALOON Colour - RED Fuel type - PETROL Date manufactured - 31 December 1997 Number of previous owners - 1 Last owner change - 09 September 2000 Hmmmmmmmmmmmm looks as dodgy as that old van parked infront of it Link to comment
Pars
Strange - has some of the hallmarks of a 1995 WRX but not all. Mine has the Nardi leather sterring wheel and gearstick and STi interior but there are a few things on the dash that make it look like some kind of UK hybrid... Link to comment

Mass
most definately! When I first saw it I thought it was a bit dodgy, that's why I put it up. So...Inform certain people or not? Link to comment
Moss
Looks identical to mine, except mine doesn't have the (optional) ABS. The sills have been removed and the rear wing added to make it look like an RA (well, the RA didn't have a wing...?), and it has a few bolt-on goodies like the dump valve/ induction kit and some sort of electronic boost gizmo? (under the stereo), but I'd put money on it being a Ver I or II WRX. Ask him for the Model number off the Vin plate - -that'll confirm it....... Link to comment
Mass
TBH m8, I'm not gonna go back round after hearing some of the suggestions on here, but thanks anyway As soon as he said it was an RA I thought it was a bit suss, but had to confirm it first Link to comment
