The wife's just changed to a 2 door car and I now have to keep borrowing my old mans vectra for shifting stuff about. Also it gives me an excuse for a change of scoob, I've had it over 2 years now. Iaing Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I think Jamie (Hi Soob) is now offshore getting sea sick Iain
dougster Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 "I think Jamie (Hi Soob) is now offshore getting sea sick" I heard two North Sea Tigers slipped of the edge as Jamie's ever increasing weight tilted the platfrom to a dangerous angle!!!
WUZ Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Never mind that guys, I'mm ou there waiting for the "big" cyclone to hit us! We'll be going offline, computer wise, in about 20 minutes and then we just disconnect the BOP's, hold on and ride it out! Russell (putting head between legs and kissing my A@@E goodbye!)

zeolite Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Blow out preventers chaps. They are the big rubber bag and seals that hold back the pressure in the event of a oil/gas/water kick. WUZ must be on a semi-submersible where the BOPs are set on the sea bed and in the event of big waves where the mechanical slip joint can't cope with the heave they disconnect the pipe from the BOPs and wait the storm out. the fun bit is connecting back up again.
