FastScooby Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 to bring with me for my first outing on the track... Apart from my car . What time is the saftey briefing??. Whatt do I need to do to my car regarding tyre pressues and the like?? Cheers Graham
st3ph3n Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 John usually sends out an email about it, but no sign of it yet. You'll get some forms with that which you'll need to fill in and bring with you. You'll also need your driving licence. Briefing should start at 8:30 for the early starters. You should wear long sleeves too as you can't get on with short ones. It'll no doubt be feckin' cold on an October day at Knockhill anyhoo. If you've not got your own helmet you can get one at the circuit. Tyre pressures - I run mine a few PSI higher than manufacturer recommendations. But I do that on the road anyway.
jamie_wood Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Bring spare brake pads for the front. Make sure all your fluids are topped up (not body fluids though) Bring your own helmet (racing helmet) Bring a little daft bit of wood to stick behind your wheel in the pits so yo can leave the handbrake off (even though its a seperate drum and not through the caliper If possible, bring a jerry can of optimax since most of the scoobs dont like the hairpin below half a tank And it only takes about 15 laps to use that Cant think of owt else
dougster Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I can have 'get home' pads avaliable if anyone cooks their 4 pot ones.
