After a hard day cleaning

Was incredibly bored at work today so decided to give the wife's motor a damn good cleaning. Normally a wash would do but thought it was time to try out the C2 engine cleaner and detailer from Halfrauds. Not bad stuff and very easy to use. face-icon-small-smile.gif

Would deffo recommend it. Takes a bit of time as I followed the instructions to the letter and covered up electrics and tried to apply liberally to the engine. It really lifts the green wax that is on everything tho'. Then it's a case of just rinsing it off and applying the detailer. Let it dry and wipe down any excess that's left.

Jobs a good un.

Think it is called CD2 engine cleaner and detailer. £7.99

Cheers for the kind comments face-icon-small-happy.gif

Wife will appreciate them face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Love that car. face-icon-small-cool.gif

CD2 isn't bad stuff although i've got some of the 'Wax Wizards' magic potion for degreasing duties now. I just stuck a bit of card over the top mount to save damaging the fins with the pressure washer. I didn't cover anything electrical but did start the car soon after to vape any moisture.

Looking good Matey face-icon-small-wink.gif

Just done the Jeep today face-icon-small-sad.gif Takes bloody ages to do!!!

Cleaning the engine bay on the Scoobies isnt a problem.

Just remember to do it while the engine is cold. Dont do it if you have had it started and running for a whileface-icon-small-sad.gif( the heat makes all the plugs/electrics expand and then the water gets in and causes problems)

Like Carl said, cover the top mount if you have one and then soak the engine bay with the de greaser.

Use a stiff brush to remove the stubborn stains/grime and let it soak for ten minutes.

Next get the powerwasher out and go to town with it face-icon-small-wink.gif

Dont wash it at point blank range , be sensible and dont use a hot power washer as once again it will expans the plugs/connectors and cause greif.

Once your done and happy its clean and properly rinsed you can start the car and let it idle for 10 minutes to dry it off face-icon-small-happy.gif

Thats how I do them anyway and I aint ever had a problem.
