zeolite Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 When towing my Pug home tonight the "check engine" light came up on my speedo. we were on the Edinburgh bypass at the time and couldn't stop so we had to drive about 5 miles before it went out. Any ideas?
dougster Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 MAF Have you tried linking the plugs together to get a fault code?
terminator Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Engine management lights can be even the slightest thing,if the engine starts running erratically, then there is a problem, missfire, air mass sensor, tons of things. If the car is still running fine dont worry it was just a glitch. If you get the chance subaru will check the fault code and let you know what it was,if you can be arsed.
Big Daz Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I would suggest towing the Scoob with the Puggy from now on , rather than the other way round Other than that, you are going to have to find out if there is a fault code stored 1st before you try anything else. If you modified it & fitted gauges you might have been able to miss out the above step as they might have given you warning Daz
