I'm afraid to say that you'll probably be found to be at fault, for not being able to stop in time despite the car in front having no reason to stop. Unless of course she admitted to it being her fault.

A similar thing happened to me many years ago on a roundabout in my Mk 1 Escort (not known for having great brakes or tyres!). Half way around, the car in front stopped quickly without warning and I skidded into the back (no ABS!). I had been changing from 2nd to 3rd at the time, and couldn't react quickly enough. She apparently dropped a cigarette end braked quickly so she could locate it to save it burning anything, but of course she didn't admit to that....

blonde travelling home as it starts to get dark.Suddenly a tree appears and she swerves left then another one appears and she swerves to the right and another tree ,eventually she goes off the road and the police arrive. waking her up they ask,what happened and she replied that everytime she turned on the road a tree would appear. the cop looked back up the clear road with no trees for miles and looked at her car. it was the magic tree airfreshner swaying about. 2 blondes trying to open ther car with the keys inside using a coathanger a passing cop leans in and hands them the keys. it was a convertable. IT WONT HELP MATE BUT THERES SOMIT TO LAUGH AT.

Can I ask my they are going to try doing you for it? Also with her braking badly dont accept the insurances take on it fight it all the way m8.
