st3ph3n Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 I'm thinking that after my new wing and splitter goes on that the next thing to do would be to get rid of the stock pea shooters and put something on that will let me hear that lovely burble. I don't want to replace the whole system, just the back box. No decats, up-pipes, down-pipes or other parts that I have no real idea what they do. Not looking for any performance gains as such either (I wouldn't say no though). I also don't want something that will annoy the hell out of me on the motorway at cruising speed. Should I just go and see the fellows down in Hillington? What sort of price would I be looking at too?
Johnny50 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Prices are very reasonable at C&C. If i remember correctly, i was quoted around £300 for a full system for my wagon. So a backbox will be pennies, and they've plenty styles to choose from.
dougster Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 They willl also try and make you a full de-cat that is subtle and won't wake the neebours while offering some great performance gains............... Cue WRXMANIA.....
ANDYJDMSTI Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Brian is very slow today..................maybe he is no longer on commission!!!!!
Johnny50 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Think you'll find that the "C" key has worn away on his keyboard, and he's unable to locate it now.
wrxmania Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 NEVER FEAR - He's back!!! Some of us have to work you know C&C - yes - of course - they'll build you whatever you want (like Meercat). Check Here A guy recently travelled all the way from the bottom of Englandshire to get his Lexus Soarer T.T. full system - said he travelled for the best!!! Brian £300 for a full system is cheap - not sure if that would be the price with all headers etc. Brian
st3ph3n Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 Thanks fellows. Will I tell C&C that Brian sent me then? marc where's meercat based? I don't know anything about them, heard plenty about C&C though.
wrxmania Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Certainly should say I sent you - they'll only add 10% - kidding of course - great guys who'll do you a good job. Remind Cameron he's on the drinks!!
spooks Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Gotta say I have seen a few C+C exhuasts now and they are very proffesional, may be twisting my arm to fit one myself soon Spooks
oobster Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 stephen..... i swapped my standard back-box for a scoobyworld ninja box. Didn't notice any performance gains (that wasn't why i bought it) but it looks & sounds the dugs baws. You also get 10% discount from scoobyworld if your a full SIDC member. Got a local Farmers Autocare to fit it too, for a fiver!! Just an option, incase C+C can't help you.
imprezapete Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 I had a Scoobiesport backbox on, 10bhp and 10ft lb torque increase. Got it rolling roaded
sma01 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 got a full APS system on mine mate, lovely piece of kit
marc29 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Hi Stephen Meercat is in Kilburnie. Did yous know Wullie is friends with C+C. And did yous know Wullie showed them how to make a SNAKEHEAD downpipe. Enough said....................
st3ph3n Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 I'd be right in assuming that what I want done is entirely reversible should I need to make the car warranty friendly again? They're not going to have to go hacking away at bits of metal?
wrxmania Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 They are open all day Saturday but you will need to book well in advnace - they are very busy Brian
st3ph3n Posted July 1, 2005 Author Posted July 1, 2005 I'll maybe give them a wee phone tomorrow then.
wrxmania Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Good idea! 0141 882 8811 - they open at 9AM. Tell whoever you speak to that I sent you and prepare for a smart remark!!! Nice guys though Brian
