I notice some of pics are just across from my old work place But I'm working up at Saughton house now. Nice set of flats, I used to walk past them until I got my Scooby

imprezapete Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 << i was using the wee spray gun...... and got dripped on :/ Yeah they are nice flats.... just get some bams around though. Adam had his skyline bonnet walked across. Its just preventative maintanance Was hoping to have my smoked side and front indicators by sunday, but they havent arrived yet >> Yeah its a real pity, I used to drink at Sirius and the lighthouse a lot and there was some headcases down there. But I used to love working at The Scottish Executive building. I'm from Musselburgh, so it was handy for traveling. But im stuck at Broomhouse due my new work place being the centre for IT. You didn't have a MR2 or a TT before? I used always remember one parked there all the time. I used to love the All you could eat Mexican though
Fee Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 I work in Sirius i had a burgundy Punto GT before, but we only moved in about 1 1/2yrs ago
imprezapete Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I used to drink Sirius a fair bit , I thought it used to be better before he refurbed the place. Do you know Alin Wallace? He did the sound system for Sirius before. I've not been down fr about a Year. Buts still a cool place, favourite Scot Exec hide out at lunch time and after work Still doing cheap drinks on a friday night????
Fee Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 It got bought over by Albatross (same folk as lighthouse, gaia, Q bar etc) about a year ago. The sound guy isn't there anymore, but there are still cheap drinks Happy Hour everyday 4-9pm anyway..... back on topic
wrxmania Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I spent a bit of time at the weekend and tonight doing the engine bays of my cars - CD2 (and previous elbow grease). They both look pretty good but no particularly good photo's. Here is one of the Impreza engine bay Brian
imprezapete Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 hehe nice Brian, I did it as well. Last person had the engine bay in some state. I need to degrease the bay again and give it another clean, I think I will do it after the Scottish Rally on Saturday. Fee you going to do the rest of the underside of the car?
Fee Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 yup... in stages LOL middle next.... then susp arms etc, re-paint the coils then re-do the inner wings again to get a nice thick coat
wrxmania Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Here is one of the Primera GT engine bay (after a spot of work) - 95,000 miles (Taken on my phone ) And a gratuitous one of the Impreza' new flaps @ work today (again taken on my phone ) Brian
imprezapete Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Nice Pics Brian. You not able to find a garage near you that would let you use a 4 post ramp? you would get it done a lot faster.
ScoobyAndy Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 nice work Fee. you got it looking as gd as new, if not better!
Neofox Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Fee u gonna put us guys to shame! After seeing you hard at work its given me an urgency to get out and do something, pity its 1am and no garage!! Just have to wait till the weekend. Good work Fee

Stiks Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Brian, did you isolate any of the electrics ( connectors/alternator etc) with cling film before you started. I've read conflicting advice as to whether you need to. Keith
