Morning All!

I'm thinking of returning to Scooby ownership after a two year face-icon-small-shocked.gif break!

My question is this:

We are having a baby in around a month so I need practical and also fun..... I've narrowed the choice to either a Wagon or a Legacy GTB. What are your thoughts on good points/bad points about either option?

I previously had an STi V2 and loved it.... Would love to experience the thrill of it all again and hopefully meet up with you all in the not too distant future.

Cheers,

Steve

Welcome Steve ,

Speaking from experience I'd say go for the Impreza Wagon .. Very practical and just as good performance wise ( stealthy too face-icon-small-wink.gif ) ..and as the Swig pointed out just as modable as any other scoob too face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Where abouts are you ? There's a Lothian Meet on tonight ( 30 mins from Glasgow ) so feel free to pop along(even if you dont have a scoob yet ) .. and have a chat .

Cheers,

Hello and welcome!

Yip buy a wagon face-icon-small-wink.gif Plenty pram etc room in the back and all the joy of impreza driving.

Plus everyone know wagons are faster than saloons face-icon-small-wink.gif

Actually it is not the wagons it is the drivers of wagons. They genetically inclined to be faster.

Take your kid seat and try one out. i am sure you will prefer it to a legacy although the legacy is a fine car especially the top range models.

Hi Aye Johnny!

Oh man, with every day that passes I regret selling her more and more! Driving a 306 daily tends to bring it home just how much I miss it!

Last time I spoke to you you were having a baby. Well, not you personally but you know what I mean! Did everything work out well?

Thanks for the comments and welcome messages so far people. I'm being drawn towards the wagons me thinks......face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

Legact GTB Twin Turbo - the ultimat street sleeper.

Modded one a several months back for a guy in Tarland. It now has twin 16G's on it and (with a few supporting mods) is running 360bhp and 320lb/ft!

Look like an old mans car but goes like stink!

Welcome back Steve!

would you believe that I got my first Impreza saloon not long after our first child arrived. The 4 doors mean easy access for getting child seats in the back (yes they all fit fine!). The big boot has plenty of space for a pram, plus all the other bits and pieces you need. You also gain the space behind the front seats for storage as well until the kids reach the age of about 7 or 8 when their legs have grown long enough, but by that time they are travelling "light" so to speak.

The wagon is more practical for rear storage, but there's only been a couple of times in 8 years of Impreza ownership that I thought I could do with a bit more boot space, and that was when buying large items that weren't kid related (like DIY stuff from B&Q), 28 inch TV etc face-icon-small-wink.gif

Hmmmm........

First it was Legacy or Wagon. Now I think it's more likely to be Wagon or Saloon!

Thanks for all the feedback and welcome messages gents. It's good to see a lot of the old faces are still about. Hopefully I'll meet up with you all soon!
