I was passed the pair of you until I got shunted into the tyres (fair play in this non-contact sport ) Dave and Mark are in a different league and Mark was helping me with a push from behind for a few laps!! GOD I'M SORE TODAY!!! (need a sunbed to heat my aching bones!!)

dougster Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Here we go!!! I get the blame for everthing now do I??? Same old, same old.
johns Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Great day, thanks to Dave for organising it Sorry we were a bit late, but the traffic at the bridge held us up for 40 minutes.... Not sure what happened in the final, as I started in 6th, passed a few people at the first corner incident, was only passed by two people during the race but passed a few others but ended up in 9th place ? I ache quite a bit today, and have some lovely bruises on my right hip and ribs. I hit someone who spun off at the corner after the finish line during one of the heats (nothing I could do to avoid it!). Thought I'd broken my ribs as I have done before at one of these, but thankfully they just seem to be bruised. Must try and lose some weight for the next event, as I'm sure I'll eventually manage to break the 1 minute mark which I've never done yet! Cheers John
